Nick, you are correct. There is no way in hell the USA Government is calling individuals who call even known prostitutes. Firstly, calls are not sufficient generally for solicitation. Secondly, that is the legal jurisdiction of local / state police, unless transporting the girls over state lines. Additionally, USA Marshals, notwithstanding tv shows, do not get involved with legal investigations and enforcement. LMFAO.

US Marshals do operate with local and state warrant apprehension task forces in Mass. They're not going to just call someone who responded to an ad though, at least not in any official capacity.

Recently, I got a call from a number that belonged to you. S Marshal Service, it was a general information number. The person on the line said that I've been calling "prostitutes" and that I would be left alone if I tell him which site I used to get the numbers. I hung up as soon as he said that and haven't heard from him since. I assume this is a spoofing scam since I doubt an agent would be calling from a general info number. It did freak me out though and I'm wondering how likely would the government arrest you for just calling a number.

Has anyone here experience anything like this?

I think you're referring to the one with the email MizDiva617, who spells her name the way I've spelled it. I asked around about her recently after contacting her via DL. The feedback I received was mostly negative in the sense that she is HJ only, but not that she's a scam. I will say that when I challenged her on the HJ only bit she denied it but wouldn't explicitly say what else she was offering. I actually did schedule with her and she bailed on me last minute, perhaps suspecting that trying to scam me might not be a good idea. We also exchanged many emails. Last four 7584. Now that Backpage is out of business, it seems likely that LEO will be looking at other sites to weave their webs of deceit. I always avoided BP for exactly this reason: it was too dangerous to answer an ad. Take the sting last year in Boxbourough. These guys were just answering a BP ad and were prosecuted for "trafficking", a crime against humanity (at least in Massachusetts simple prostitution is a crime against humanity). Or the guys busted in Burlington this winter by The New England Electronic Crimes Task Force when they answered a BP ad.

Does anyone have an idea where LEO is likely to be baiting us next? It seems to me that they will pick the site with the most traffic. But, none of the BP want to-bes has emerged as a clear leader for advertising working girls.
