I visited a place this week that was "new to me" but evidently has been in WS some time (usually called ST).

Nice enough place (standard set up and accoutrements).

Staff older than the average I've seen at other locations- and friendly in an average way.

Nothing spectacularly bad or good - not likely to repeat (but not slamming. Other places near-enough are above average- so that is where I'll be).

I know I will probably not get much traction with this thread but we have to help each other. I have tried just about every known place in NOVA and there is no reason places still only provide NOVA finish, feign periods, upsell rabidly, and demand more than $40 tip for lackluster performance. If you stop going to these types of places and only go to good places the suckie places will have to improve or get better eventually. Case in point I stopped going to my usual Nova Place when I am in town and started going to PG Country. Then, suddenly after about a 6 month hiatus I return out of the blue to my old Nova place and they made sure they treated me like they wanted me back again and again. It works.

Only you all know what it takes to earn your dollars. What type of return do you want to get from what you invest at AMPs? I'm just saying.

However, if you've got great relationship with superior service, then no need to drive so far.

There are places in NoVA that take care of good customers -- several of the senior seniors have posted on these places regularly (but YMMV).

I started in this hobby about 10 years ago. About a year in I met a sexy little K-Lady and we seemed to connect right away. Thanks Rusty, good review. There seems to be a lot of different views regarding overtipping and driving the prices up vs the return on an extra Jackson invested. I think I understand the different sides. No one wants to pay more than they have to, but most want the extra personal service (or at least standard service with a good attitude. That being said, many providers have that stripper mentality. 'What's the most tip / drink I can fleece from this John with the smallest amount of effort / discomfort on my part?" The difference to me is that a lapdance only lasts 5 minutes and you may never see her again. The activities reported here are more intimate and I certainly don't want a pissed off provider working my muscles.

Some providers want the tip up front, but that seems to be more of an area thing. Did some dreaming in SoCal a few weeks back and 5 out of 6 wanted the $ as soon as negociations were settled, and most took it out of the room. I am not totally comfortable with that. I don't tip a waiter or a moving company guy BEFORE the service is provided. But I do realize they are taking a chance. Having said that, I do, on occasion, leave some jacks in plain sight under my keys / hat. Usually when I have intel on what that particular provider is willing to provide for what tip. That has not backfired on me yet.

Some providers want to negotiate like an Arab trader. I am not into that. I don't knock the mongers who are, but I don't think most providers who do that just like to win at negotiating, they want to get more for less. If a tip is agreed on and they STILL complain during or after or ask for more after, for me it a one and done. I won't see them again. I probably won't go back to that location any time soon.

Some (my favorites) just want to know if you will take care of them. To me that means they are willing to take a chance on me. And when they do well and accept the Jacks at the end and seem happy without counting it, I want to see them again. Often when I see a provider for the first time, I will tip on the low end to see their reaction. Like Rusty, if they are happy with that, and I WANT to see them again I will pull out an extra and add it as a "first time bonus". While that might set a new "rate" I have never been disappointed with the service on repeat visits. (Generally the menu opens up for the new rate). Who doesn't want to walk into a MP and have the providers fight over who gets to see you?

All of this is of course, YMMV. I tend to be very much the gentlemen and try to get them laughing from early on. On occasion that gets me nothing, but I have mostly found that a happy, smiling provider that has been treated respectfully, opens the menu faster, trusts that you will take care of them more, and is more flexible in negotiations.
