Posts: 79With regret for being obtuse
I accept the insight of very senior posters -- and encouragement to continue posting.
I regret my last review (Franconia Wellness. FW) frustrated readers.
In summary.
1. I visited FW.
2. This is a new place, clean and well appointed. It has all facilities associated with a quality spa.
3. It is not hard to find, but, it is in a complex of several buildings.
4. The massage technicians are nice, professional.
5. I received my full hour (I do not like to be shorted on time).
6. It is likely I will return.
FW is a good quality place. Be polite (as we always should).
I considered this a good massage experience, but as is true in all things.
YMMV Alot.

Posts: 1947Only so much a hobbyist can do
When it comes to posting reports in the forum, there's only so much a hobbyist can do to protect the AMP or indie provider, the rest is up to them. FWIW, I operate under the assumption that Uncle LEO pretty much knows which MPs are legit and which provide extras. And, if a new place opens up, I'm guessing they believe the worst about it until proven otherwise.

Besides, a LEO who works the AMP beat can probably decipher any code better than most mongers. My preference is to discuss service levels and prices (std NOVA, NOVA+, or other) and my general level of satisfaction, but to only discuss specifics of the masseuse via PM with trusted members.
IMHO, it's the nature of the biz that all AMPs will attract unwanted LEO attention at some point. It's the responsibility of the AMP itself, and the individual girls, to be cautious about stings and there's only so much a hobbyist can do. By keeping some specifics on the down-low, Uncle will still have to do their own homework and figure things out on their own.
BTW, whenever I encounter an AMP girl who doesn't do enough to make sure I'm not Uncle LEO, I make sure to have a talk with her (after the end of the session, of course) and I try to give her with a few tips so she can hopefully avoid problems.

Posts: 206I agree with the principle, and I mean no disrespect to the seniors, from whom I have learned alot.

Useless. Hmmmmm. I disagree.

Many of us do not explicitly identify locations or providers. Why? -- out of respect for those places / ladies that don't want the direct exposure of this forum (such as my ATF location and provider -- but MMS and Provider frequently remind the customers "no internet" -- and to maintain some discretion from Uncles (who admittedly know all. See all) and monger-trolls who manifest abusive demeanor in writing or in their lack of manners.
I've been to the location reviewed -- I agree with the reviewer -- a nice place, but better massage available nearby (in fact, several locations within the same half-mile.).
Always be nice to the ladies.

Posts: 206Well, the format is nice, but useless without an indication of the location. Did I miss some clue?

Posts: 79A hot day, but not so hot at the AMP
On a very hot day, I thought the timing perfect for a repeat visit to one of the new DMV spas.
EXTERIOR.
- Parking: Plenty -- some with shade. GPS guidance may not take you to the correct place, but a little are&are around the mediplex / officeplex.
- Entrance: Although the entrance faces the main road, trees and a fence provide cover from the road (but not from the neighboring offices). Use the left-hand door that leads up the stairs. Ring the bell at the top of the stairs for admittance.
INTERIOR.
- Cleanliness: This is a new place. Still looks new, aroma of fresh paint and good-clean facilities.
- Shower Room: The shower room is larger that some. New, well tiled. Clean and odor free. The table itself was clean and in new condition. TS offered at beginning or end of session depending on the provider and number / sequence of customers.
- Water Temperature: The TS water was neither too hot nor too cold -- but the body-soap was COLD!
- Air Temperature: The air was conditioned without being too cold.
- Bathroom: Appears to be clean (I did not use).
- Sheets / Towels: Sheets and towels in the studio and shower were clean / new. At the end of the session, all the towels and sheets were changed while I was preparing to leave.
- Therapy Room: The studios are a bit on the smaller side, with full walls and doors (which the therapist keeps slightly ajar). The massage table was new and of standard size (with hole in table for face comfort). A bar is along the ceiling.
- Final Amenities: The therapist used the hot, moist towels to wipe away the massage cream. I've been offered water and candy on each visit.
SERVICE.
- Time: I opted for, and received, a full hour. Fee = . 8. EXCELLENT. I have never been shorted on time, and have never been rushed.
- Therapist: My therapist this week was taller than many in the area. I have met three at this location. Those looking for the 20-something "unicorn" can look elsewhere. Those that like other therapists in NoVA will like these therapists. All have been pleasant to talk to, and all have been pleasant to see. All therapists dressed well, but not fancy.
- Session: The massage was of light to moderate pressure. Tip was standard for the session with no complaints.
This is a nice place -- but other places have better massage. They appear to want good, repeat customers. I am sure I will return, but not swiftly.
Not bad -- but, as is true in all things, .
YMMV Alot.

Posts: 902Place on Holly in Sterling
Stopped by an old haunt on Holly in Sterling. I usually get the manager, since I guess she is the only one that works there for the most part but she had a "new" girl there on Saturday and asked me if I wanted to try her out. I said, sure, why not. The "new" girl was a middle aged Chinese woman. Nothing to write home about. Plain looking, out of shape. I should had just kept with the manager.
Massage was ok, not great compared to the manager's massage. Activities were standard noVA. While performing activities, she had this expression on her face and making slight noises as if she was getting herself off or had to go to the bathroom really bad.
I tipped the standard rate and left. Afterwards, I shake my head and wonder if it's time to quit the AMP game around here. Man, some of these places are just hitting rock bottom.
My recommendation of this place: Not recommended. Even for a quick fix with the manager, I'm beginning to lose interest in this spot.

Posts: 902Been wondering that myself. I noticed they took down their sign and the neon "Open" sign facing Sterling Blvd a few months ago and just had these dim blue lights on, outlining the windows. I too saw the "family emergency" sign when I tried to visit more recently. I didn't see anything on the local online news about any busts or the such. Kind of the same thing that happened to Capitol over on Church Rd (closed down for a few months, open back up under a new owner and they recently erased the word "Capitol" from their outdoor sign). I liked Judy at Capitol. She had a good technique.

Recent Visits
New Member, stumbled on this website when in SFO and heard about massages, so went to health in SFO and the next door and had a very good time for. 6 entry fee and $. 2 for full service.
Then next trip was NC and it was late in the night after my meetings so ended up on waynard with a brown teeth and again entry same and FS for $ but did not enjoy as much as SFO.
TS was good in NC compared to SFO.
Anyways it was very easy to read on this website and get real exp, in NC lot of them were closed ofcourse, in Cary area.
Coming to NOVA and can go around for 40 miles radius due to work and stationed her for a month and I don't see anything which is FS or HJ. If any body can PM me that would be great.

Visiting from Chicago and TOFTT at FF Massage in Chantilly.
Total legit vibe from start to finish. Only one provider there, very nice 50 ish lady, Chinese. Excellent legit massage, draped entire time, definitely refreshing but zero menu for extras and probably wouldn't have been too interested anyway.
Only here a few days so probably won't find happiness while here. If anyone needs info on Chicago please don't hesitate to PM me.

Posts: 101Vivi & Lily's Open for Massages
The "open" signs are once again lit. I am not sure if they had to cut back to just the licensed gals, only one gal was at Vivi's on my last visit and it was not the younger Anna, who may or may not still be around. You will see signs posted in the rooms from management for your reading pleasure. They may discourage you, but hope floats. YMWV dependent on several factors, most important your former relationship with the gal or lack thereof. // SSRod.

Posts: 1947The never ending game of AMP whack-a-mole
As anyone who has partaken of this hobby for more than a few years can attest, the more things change the more they stay the same.
The AMP landscape is constantly in flux, with new places opening, old places closing or going legit (for various reasons) and girls moving around so quickly it makes both your heads spin. Uncle LEO plays the whack-a-mole game from the angle of trying to manage what they see as a problem, while dealing with citizen complaints and launching the occasional enforcement (code, licensing or criminal) operation. From the hobbyists' angle, the whack-a-mole game consists of trying to keep track of decent places and ATFs while avoiding ripoff / upsell joints or legit places that teasingly advertise as though they offer extras.
All of the posts about recent events and issues in the NOVA AMP scene could just as easily be from 5 years ago or 5 years in the future. IMHO, it's generally a disappointing proposition, in terms of time, $$ and expectations, to chase after the latest positive report or the newest spa "Grand Opening". Unless you make it a full-time vocation to keep track of the constant changes in a spreadsheet (BTW, if you do track info like that, please PM me!) it's kind of like buying into the stock market after the hype has already hit the headlines.
Based on advice received from many seniors over the years, one way to minimize the downside of constant changes is to focus on a few good prospects and develop the kind of strong client-provider relationship that will ensure they keep you in the loop when things change. There are seniors in this forum (you know who you are) who have the personal digits of their favorite masseuses and mama-sans and who get text updates when things change and preferential treatment even if the location is forced to go legit. I have one AMP ATF who travels back and forth from NYC and always let's me know when she's in town. I also have one mama-san who knows my preferences, sends me a text when she has a new girl she thinks I'd like and let's that girl know I'm a trusted regular and to take good care of me. Of course, there are no guarantees in this crazy hobby, but anything that might save you $$ and frustration is worth a try.
Good luck and stay safe out there!
