Hi Gang, It's been a long while, formerly a long-time contributor but I'm relatively inactive now. I came across this interesting blog discussing the AAMP (and likely the AMP scene applies just the same) phenomenon in America as viewed from overseas. While Martha Coakley would have us believe all women in massage parlors are sex slaves here against their will, this eastern perspective is quite a fascinating read.

If overseas, in China, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand, it often works like this. Women answer an ad to work in North America, generally for domestic help positions (they are not being "trafficked against their will). At the interview, they're frankly told that it's sex work, and they can chose to do it or not. If they agree, they pay a fee, generally $1000 (all examples in this article are in USD), to arrange transportation, visas, any necessary bribes, and lodging in a North American city. They can either pay their own airfare or the company will buy it for them. If the latter, round trip open-end airfare to North America is charged at $3,000. In Korea, all potential masseuses must take a class in traditional Korean massage before they leave for North America. They will pay for their lodging in North America at the going rate, generally $1500 per month for a clean, modern apartment, the rental of which may be shared by two or three women. They are expected to work off their debt, generally around $4,000, and may not keep any profit until their debts are paid. This is paid off in a surprisingly short amount of time.

I agree with everything in the article except for the dollar amounts, I know an asian woman who came over from China but it cost her 40,000. Not 4000. She was able to choose any job she wanted but eventually chose the massage route because she could pay off the 40 G debt quicker. She now has a thriving AMP and an AAMP with 4 to six girls rotating every week. She has a new car, real estate, a new set of tits and now her rotating girls do most of the work. Just goes to show you that America is still the land of opportunity if you have some brains and the right product to sell.

As you will note I have not been on here for some time but I am very interested in your post re Thai places in Quincy. I prefer Thai period but can't fine one, specially in Quincy, where I can leave satisfied so I stopped going all together. Can you inbox me with some hope?

I've been to every $65 and under Thai place in Quincy. Nada happy time. Two of the women wanted to date me, so I took one home. I won't do that again. If they advertise LB's, or TS's, or -op anything, I'm chicken-shit. I won't walk in. I went to Sbai in the dumpy-IMHO- part of Cambridge for a $125 no-touch HJ. Lots of negotiations. First and last time.

In the YMMV category, I went to the Thai place in Davis Sq last year. Maybe 2-3 times. Had a good, but legit massage from forget her name. She kept moving away from my hands, so I didn't press for anything. Then I read someone got busted there for prostitution. And I always walked out with achy-breaky nuts. Maybe I got the wrong girl, who knows. That place didn't get busted because of reviews; at least I never saw any reviews. And it was not a walk-in place, either. So, A2 is probably right. They ain't busting places because of what they read here.

I personally like the seedier places. Get more bang for the buck, so to speak. The 4th floor on Kneeland. Coddington. Star's old location. It's new location. Zen across from the Supermarket in Quincy. Tulip is a little clean for my taste, but I never left less than fully satisfied. That seems to have changed these days, though.

As an aside, I was thinking of going to a place in Newton, but I need help from a Newton expert. Phil / Ledger / Boz- that would be you. There sure are AMPle opportunities on the home turf, aren't there? Drop a dime Phil, let me know. Luv ya' babe.

Admirer's will be interested in knowing she just starting working yesterday in a Natick spa that I think was recently reviewed (entrance around back). For those who know her, she is not FS by any means, but she's really sweet and I have a really great rapport with her, so I was thrilled that she's still around. Also, paid a visit to CB and saw Angela. Similar experience as reported by others. They were extremely busy, so all the interruptions were quit frustrating. I went to Watertown after I read a solid review here.

Walked in, and the upsell was already on! What?

"$80 1 hr. And shower"! She speaks no English, except the menu and "hello".

There's a sign that states $60 pr hr. I declined the shower (I had Just got out). Took the hour massage.

She proceeded to give a solid medium / soft relaxing massage. Then she questions " You say hour?" . What?

"Yes, I just gave you $60.1 HOUR. ".

Already not feeling good. She finished the massage for the full hour, and that was it. I didn't ask for anything, and she did not seem to be interested. I was already turned off by the upsell.

Decent massage. No extras. - 20 tip.

On a recent cold and blustery day Pw found himself with a few minutes to spare in the City of Newton. Sitting in my car with smartphone in hand I decided that the Thai place would be my best and closest bet. Knowing there was a mix of providers I did not call ahead so I could easily bail of required.

Pleasantly surprised when I was greeted by Jessy, a tall and pretty actual girl. Paid the fee and laid on the floor. Her massage skill cannot be accurately rated as I was only there for a half and flipped at 15 minutes. Surprisingly no haggling nor mention of tip and her skill was a solid 8+. No roaming of any variety was permitted and a standard tip was left.

May repeat as she was nice and I enjoyed my time.

Got to visit Angel in Quincy. Another quality time with an Old favorite. She was working by herself on Saturday. She told me that Kaka works Monday to Friday. I would recommend Kaka. She has skills. Angel tells me that Linda is back. But only works Sundays for now.

Very clean place. Got the full hour. No upsell. Her phone buzzed 3 times and she did not answer. Some one came knocking at the door ringing the buzzer. Folks, the sign at the door says that "if the door is locked, she is busy and please come back".

She was in her 20's pretty, tall, not fat but definitely not a spinner. Paid the 60 and was given a very decent massage. Around the 20 minute mark the game was on snd so was the haggling. She wanted 120 for a CBJ. After some negotion all parties were satisfied. I probably will not repeat do to the haggling. The place seemed clean but after we were finished it was s hand smoothing of the sheets. Disgusting.

There are other providers in the rotation who do the same upsell. I was Mandy's first customer when she first arrived last summer. She had just got off the bus that afternoon. She must have learned a few massage skills because she was lousy at it back then. Everyone at that locations plays the Name That Price Game. But its only an upsell until you settle at an agreed price. After that, you have set your price for your follow up visits and there is no need to play that game. It might be a BYOS place. (Bring Your Own Sheets).

Hadn't been to Tulip in Brookline for quite a while. Clean place. Language challenged, fairly attractive masseuse. Standard treatment. 60/40. Mechanical, missing the "hot" factor. Won't repeat, there's better out there.

Does anyone know where "Joy" from Tremont st (and other sites) has gone? Very, very thin, late 30's.

I've seen ads for 544 Cambridge st, which used to be royal thai.

It appears they have a new name but same phone number.

Anyone know if the place is any different? I found the old place to be a huge upsell.
