A veteran Boston cop was among those swept up in a prostitution sting in Lynn, officials said.

XXXXXXXX, a detective in South Boston, is expected to be placed on administrative leave with pay following his arrest early today, said Boston Police spokeswoman.

XXXXX has been with the department since 1989, and last year earned $151, 036, according to city payroll records.

A Lynn Police spokesman was not immediately available to provide further details of the sting.
