When to Cleopatras (old Club Tahoe) a couple of times this week. The place has been remodeled and cleaned up. Has a really comfortable feeling now. The owner is Kimberly who previously ran a few other places in the Kapiolani area. She has a collection that consists of quality rather than quantity. Nice looking 30 and 40ish year olds, great food too. Place was standing room only for the UH football game, even though the game was televised for free!

Was told they were left over from the previous owner Jade mama. I bought drinks for cuties Jae, Yune and later a wicked sexy thing named Ivy. Good food, atmosphere and was comfortable with grooving karaoke. Except for the old asian guy on the bar who frikken yells into the mic and thinks he's a good singer. What a joke. I had to chuckle to myself when no one applauded after he sang his rock songs. Probably cause we were all deaf by then. FLOL. I will definitely check this place out more often. He can be seen sitting with the mic on the bar with no hands snd singing into the mic. The 1st time you hear him sing, he sounds good, but becomes irritating the more you see and hear him. I don't see him singing in the bar that his wife works at. She probably tells him to go other bars to sing.
Saw Rose (formerly of Camelot) there; now goes by Christina. She may also go to Napa after 2. Kendra and Danbi (originally from D' Amour but also tried their luck at other area bars) were also there.
There were also a couple of average girls in their mid to late 20's whom I did not recognize, and when I left I looked towards Camelot and saw some curvy hostesses escorting guys back to their cars. I didn't bother to check but body-wise they looked really good from a distance.
Evergreen was packed so I went to Johnny's side of SP3 and it was busy. Had a young skinny local cosmo girl dancing, with an aerobics butt and a kind of large tattoo by the breastbone area. Decided to try and go to a more quieter, local bar so dropped by here for the Monday night Football game. The place was pretty dead. I'm actually surprised how empty is was, especially for game night. But luckily enough I sat with a local Korean girl named Lei. I'd say she's mid 20s, decent looks and a big bootie. Girls working here aren't dolled up as the ones over at Camelot or anything but I guess this is how local bars are? Not sure since this was my first one but it was cool. It definitely is a plus when the bg speaks fluent English. You can make jokes and be all sarcastic and they get it. The KBGs are trained and tutored by veteran KBGs and monitored by upper management. There are renegade KBGs but they basically get their screwed-up ways from the KB training and guidance. That's why they all pull the same old shat whatever KB you go and plant. I wouldn't be surprised if the rook KBGs had a booklet to study, mock sessions, and mentors before going solo.

I quit the bucket of ice years ago. At first, the k-bartendresses looked shocked ("Just Botto?") but I guess that preference has become more common. The ice chest is a good idea, only the girls never use the scooper and forcibly scoop with the glass which can leave chips.
I didn't bother with the 'nights' at Evergreen, but the good thing about Lisa is that she's always dressed in Fungirl outfits anyway, and it isn't just for show :).

Here's my own personal economic plan. Korean bars are OK for watching ball games, VB's are good when you want a little of both and AMPs are the place to go after the game.A plan with priorities is a good thing to have. That way your mind is set in advance and the chances of making undisciplined mistakes are minimal. Seems APEC had no effect on the bar scene and just the usual musical chairs game among KBGs changing bars. Its the same ole same ole with the with LVBs still being LVBs. Great to be back in Hawaii. Have been on deployment overseas. I am looking for Kelly Geressy who worked at Camelot. She recently changed her phone number so any help would be greatly appreciated. It was not a clean grab so the guy fell, had the girls purse, and started pedaling to beat the band. I was able to catch the guy and he hurled the purse at me and took off again. I recovered the purse so did not pursue. Never even got laid out of the deal. The KBG moved to Maui and I never saw het again. Ironically, saw her walking down Amana a couple of weeks ago and she said she would be at the all night spot on lower Koreamoku, I forgot the name. Anyway, I have not followed up. I don't think it's a Korean thing either because it makes the local people that work in the bar think the same way. It's like if you don't adapt to the bar mentality you don't survive. I actually dated a KBG before I even knew she was a KBG. It was really fun while it lasted and I got to meet a lot of KBG's outside of work here and the mainland. The age different was about 8 years with me being younger which really made it exciting I guess for both of us. I guess in the end, things just didn't work out because of her lifestyle and work plus our age gap.
While we were dating, things were really great! She treated me really well and I'm pretty sure spent more money than I in the relationship. She use to buy clothes, watches, sunglasses, etc. Without me even asking for things. I also saw the good real side of a lot of KBG's and got along with most of them.
So what I'm basically saying is, they have 2 sides to them. They make really good girlfriends and probably even wives when you get a chance. But it's really really difficult to infiltrate that side of them. At work, they sort of have a protective shell around them and they question the motive of everything you do for them because they probably got burned a time or two in the past. You could be the nicest guy in the world but if you go into a Korean Bar to see them, it raises suspicion. They'll always think something is up and you're probably not real Boyfriend material seeing as how you go to that type of place.

I actually dated a KBG before I even knew she was a KBG. It was really fun while it lasted and I got to meet a lot of KBG's outside of work here and the mainland. The age different was about 8 years with me being younger which really made it exciting I guess for both of us. I guess in the end, things just didn't work out because of her lifestyle and work plus our age gap.
While we were dating, things were really great! She treated me really well and I'm pretty sure spent more money than I in the relationship. She use to buy clothes, watches, sunglasses, etc. Without me even asking for things. I also saw the good real side of a lot of KBG's and got along with most of them.
So what I'm basically saying is, they have 2 sides to them. They make really good girlfriends and probably even wives when you get a chance. But it's really really difficult to infiltrate that side of them. At work, they sort of have a protective shell around them and they question the motive of everything you do for them because they probably got burned a time or two in the past. You could be the nicest guy in the world but if you go into a Korean Bar to see them, it raises suspicion. They'll always think something is up and you're probably not real Boyfriend material seeing as how you go to that type of place.

I stayed at her place, she cooked and everything, but in the end, I kind of called it off (cause of financials) , and not once said she loved me. Then later, come to find out, she was really into me. I have dated a KBG. We broke up at least a year ago. The hardest thing for me is when they have to talk to their customers and you are with them. I have talked about this before and fellow mongers were telling me that KBG's are no good. This is their lifestyle and they know how to suck the money out of you. I went with her for almost 4 years before we broke up. I think she wanted out of the relationship because my money was running out. We fell out of touch and just started seeing her again, just on a friend basis to eat lunch and drive her around. She used to call me couple times just to pick her up at the bar because she was too drunk but I never did because I didn't hear my phone. One word of advice to all who have or are going with a KBG. Don't fall in love with one and don't get her pregnant. I did fall in love with her and probably still am but luckily she didn't get pregnant. The weird thing now is that we have lunch now and then and she doesn't even ask me to buy her things, I just drive her around. Maybe she just realizes that not too many guys would do that kind of stuff for her. Just my 2 cents worth.

The bartenders looked pretty good compared to the other girls working. The bar looked the same as before. Same mama. Julie but she has a partner now, I'm guess that the other one is the financial backer. I can't see how the place will be any better, Julie never was a good mama and never took good care of her girls. Unless things get better it will again be a matter of time before she goes into debt again.
At least there's another place to visit again.

Never seen bars THAT slow for town even tho early is normally slow, they usually have their regulars and alkies I always see but not Wednesday. Saw some oldier bgs getting Casino ready for thurs and I don't think they going do well with that kind recycled talent. Kimberly tried that when she brought Cleo to town and failed miserably. Nevertheless I hope they stay open so got more choices. Went EG another day and wondered where the girls went. Rachael came by who I've known long time and tried for 15 minutes before she gave up. At that time, bars were wising-up and making sure their girls had the proper LC and INS documentation, so employment became 'the latest thing'.
A few girls told me they were getting a salary but it was a dismal amount. The provision was that she must work as ordered (basically everyday by a certain hour, until closing) and she was to not dare try working anywhere else. So when her bar got dead and the other girls moved to where the customers were, she was stuck in the barren wasteland. They were afraid to quit, too.
Even today, I kind of take notice of girls who are 'go-getters' and follow the money; they got to do what they got to do. Personally I don't see the point of getting all dressed-up and coming to work for nothing. I think it takes at least a little moxie to go prospecting and try your luck somewhere else knowing your old ms might not welcome you back. Just my 1 cent.

That type of bg doesn't have steady regular customers because of their rob style of hostessing. Then theres other KBGs that have a pretty good customer base in slow shitty bars keeping the bar at least semi alive but lose out in the chance to meet NEW customers.

Cheers at the time was a big hotspot in Kalihi and I think could have survived in town if only they were actually on the strip. Stop at New Casino first and was hoping Nara, MK, or Gina would be there but no luck. Place was alright I felt relaxed and was kind of busy. Most of the girls was in the booth so never see that much but the bartender caught my eye. I think that could be Gigi. Can anyone confrim? As I was leaving one other caught my eye. Eddy from Splash. Now have something to cameback and change to LVB mode. Next stop D'Amour, beer was good. Did my drunken walk to EG. Where all the girls you guys posting about? Found MK. Had to sober up so stop at Diamond. Seen Nazly Fuller. She was in the booth with the others and was tame as a kitten. Don't know why others post that she a crazy drunk.

Still had to sober up from drinking in town so stop at Green Tee, Lilac, and the other bar was slow. Next stop was Kool. So Su try her best to get a drink from me and I had dig out without finishing my drink. So fuck up I felt molested. Next Islander seem dead. Had pee from all the drinking so stop at Coloful. At lot of locals there. Had a one not bad looking chick there.

Seems Camelot trying hard to claim the uncontested top spot and Business doing the same. This has been a wierd year for bars. Mostly its been slow overall compared to other years which recently also been slow but not as bad as this year. I think its going to interesting next year.

I thought about how she would fit right-in at Nirvana.
Also saw a couple of girls from Moonflower, including Danbi. Overall the hostesses were younger than Kalihi, but unless they play they don't seem to have much going for them. I did not recognize most of them.
EG was empty with almost no hostesses besides Mi Ni, and it was almost midnight already. Didn't stay, and went to Johnny's side of SP3; there's a young v-dancer who resembles the late Aaliya and another taller one with tats all over her back and a kind of runway model walk. Both attract a lot of tips. You can't miss them.
Tried Tomorrow but it was dead with very few hostesses some of whom were obviously 40+; this place reminded me of Kalihi. One lady had big tits and a voluptuous build which her outfit displayed well; she'd be the queen at a place like Kison or CHM. Can't miss her, either.
Went to check Casino and saw mostly older KBGs with mostly older customers to match. For a new bar and Friday, wasnt that busy. Damour was dead so went to check Pharoah which was also dead but they had $2 beer so stayed awhile. Heard all the girls from Pharoah going move to Twilight and Ellie bringing in her own crew. Interesting. Pharoah girls not that hot imo so don't think will make that much diff for Twilight. EG hardly had any girls and moved on to Tommorrow after checking a slow Twilight which also wasnt too busy. Then went Camelot which was pretty busy at the bar but didn't see that many girls tonight, for them anyway. Holiday season, payments, and income taxes are brutal for an already tight spending scene. We all sorta know that the coming years will be just as bad; some experts predict even worse economic conditions for the next three to five years. KBs need to (according to Oldee) give us what we want; KBs need to be a one-stop-shop with stunning KBGs, drink specials, ono pupus, sports, and everything across the KB board to attract all customers. It would behoove KB operators to review and adjust their business model accordingly. But KB operators not going change because they too entrenched within themselves. No can attract customers with the current Bozo lineups; get too many pay places like Rejuve, Pink. I guess the only thing I have to look forward to is a comp drink from Cammy Brian.
