It's a "survival instinct" that takes over, sometimes it's spot on, sometimes not...but either way it's her call and even more important as an indie compared to working in a spa environment.

In almost all other segments of this service industry, advance payment is the standard. Only in massage-based entities is the norm sometimes to split-payment (some up front, some at the end) or to try to collect all at the end.
