I think you've got your jurisdictions confused. It's city all the way up to taylor ave. Pretty much the entire area where girls walk is inside city limits. Parkville shopping center is inside the city as well. County cops won't go south of taylor, or if they do, they have no jurisdiction

It is pretty hot these days. I talked to someone who said they did a sweep a few weeks back and arrested every girl who was out, those without warrants walked, but several of the girls (Robin, Chrissy, Andie, and a few others whose names I don't recall) all got locked up.

Guys, I am usually just an AMP and Block kind of guy. I am just too scared of what I'll catch, or who might catch me, if I go looking for a SW. Regulars dont expect to see Sarah around. She has been in the hospital for over a week with some very serious problems. She was in intensive care for a couple of days. After the hospital stay she will be in a nursing home for at least 30 days while receiving IV treatment 24/7.

Hopefully this episode will scare her clean once and for all. She realizes she almost died and says she is done. Lets all hope she recovers and stays clean.

She deserves a better life.

Was out looking for a quick bj in Hampden on Thursday night when I had a close encounter of the cop kind I thought I would relate to the board. I've been picking up 'dates' for almost 10 years in B'more and this was the first time this has happened to me.

Basically, I saw one of the neighborhood hoes, I can't remember her name but i know she is from Mobile, AL as I have picked her up before. Not much in the way of looks but gives an above average BJ. She had just turned the corner to walk down 41st street from Falls road. I waited at the light for a couple of minutes to make a left, then pulled down 41st to make the pick up. There was no traffic behind or ahead of me, we made eye contact and just as my car was stopping she suddenly turned around and started walking again. I look in my rearview and all of a sudden a cop is lighting me up.

The cop (a black guy with a french accent) approached the car and asked me if I knew why he stopped me. I figured honesty was cheap at that point, so I said 'because I was going to pick up that girl?' The cop said that's right, went on to give me a short lecture me about the evils of prostitution, then took my license and registration and went back to his car. Five minutes later he returned them to me and told me hoped he wouldn't be seeing me in the neighborhood any time soon, returned my license and registration and left. I agreed that he wouldn't and got the hell out of there and back home.

My best guess was that he spotted me at the intersection although I keep my eyes moving and would not have tried to pick her up if I had seen him. It was a marked car, BTW, if I forgot to mention that. I am chalking this up as the cost of doing business and risk associated with this 'hobby' of ours. I have not been out since and will probably lay low for awhile. Overall I thought the cop was pretty cool though, he didn't search the car or ask me to get out of the vehicle, and the whole thing didn't last more than 7 minutes or so. Some would probably say it is always better to clam up, and that I should never admit that I was trying to pick up a date. That being said, I also think you risk arousing anger in a cop of you lie when obviously you’re busted.

Just an FYI I guess, I know most of the guys who post here are ultra savvy - but I am taking this as a wake-up call that I have gotten too comfortable and nonchalant and need to be on full alert when making the pick up.
