That 1/3 number is just not accurate. Many doctors tell their patients that so they feel better. The reality is no one knows for sure, but estimates range as low as 1 in 20 (5%) to your 1/3 (33%). You tend to find the higher numbers coming from the Herpes support group web pages and the like. This does not mean people should not be careful.

Also, X Facta's post is 100% true. However, I would point out that HSV-1 and HSV-2 can be cross linked from oral-genital contact. I have posted about this before. Furthermore, there is an immunizing effect from either infection, meaning if you already have cold sores around your mouth, it provides some (not complete) protection from infection from genital herpes. I have not done a study, but I would suspect that many of the SWs have the genital (and considered the more virulent type) type of herpes in their mouth.

I also got "Molluscum" once. My wife worked for a dermatolgist and he mentioned that it was an STD- my wife got it from me! It took a while to convince her that I got it at a swimming pool.

Technically, Mulluscom is not an STD. It can be transmitted sexually. It is mostly transmitted by skin to skin contact. That being said, a number of years back, the entire University of Maryland wrestling team got mulloscum contagiosum for the close contact that wrestling entails.

Looks like I hit a sore spot.First of all shame on you for knowingly spreading your disease to not only sw but to members of this site bb should not be in your vocab probably got HIV too.I dont have herpes and have been doing this 10+ years.I would never just assume someone has my disease and just pass it on.Secondly I alway use my mongers travel kit after each encounter.For the newbies 10% rubbing alcohol to 90% water will kill any bacteria. I go higher.Also anti-bacteria wipes for your balls and crotch right after you get off put some on keeps me STD free.

No sore spot for me pal. Where did you get anything from my post inferring that I'm "going bareback" and/or "spreading my disease? " My point is I'm at least upfront with the fact that I have it as do better than half the mongers out there and on this board. Thats just simple odds. If you don't carry the virus (and it's NOTHING to do with HIV), than you are among the few. Nothing to brag about as some just can't get it and none of your "precautions" are keeping you from it. I am new to the board. I've been at this "hobby" for about 13 years now. Just wanted to pass on some info.

Harford Rd between about the 7500 block all the way down to White Ave is a great place to cruise. 99% WSW. I am an unashamed ass bandit and all of the girls will do it with 2 exceptions- Carrie, the one with the high pitched sqeaky voice and another girl that is a dyke and hangs up the hill close to where Old Harford intersects. She had a petite blond GF, about 100 lbs that does the butt. She is sweet. There are a few others that are decent too. These girls are on the high end as far a SWs go.

Next comes Pulaski Hwy. You have to go up Collington between Pulaski and Pratt. Avoid Patterson Park, it was great years ago, but the Yuppies and 5-0 have chased out the ladies. These girls are a step down from Harford.

If you are really hard up you can do the Wash/Wilkens/Patapsco loop. Another step down. The locals are the nastiest SWs in B-more. Sometimes you'll get a county girl working down there that grew up in a nice home, but rarely. Most of the girls down there don't know what a dentist is.

Last note. If you are touching these girls w/o a rubber then you are nuts. I don't even let them put the rubber on me. I don't want any of there skin making contact with any of mine.
