Well not having too much success lately on the ave, I've dated a few
girls whom I've seen multiple times in the past as that seems to have

Does anyone know if the info about Darlene being killed is valid?

I've been with both Tiffany and Darlene. Strange how I didn't have any problems with them, however I can see how if you're not careful and stern with them, they could pull this type of crap with someone.

Ok. I'm about to do something completely stupid, and I'm gonna need your guys advice. My question is where are any crappy motels/short stay hotels, around the area. I'm forgetting the name of a notel that you guys often use, but even that seems to be out of the vicinity. Maybe I shouldn't concentrate on the K. Is there a better spot in philly for the walking monger to base himself. If Camden would be a better choice, I would be very open to it. My only need is a cheap motel with a bevy of even cheaper SW around.

You have an abitious plan and I have to agree with Davey that your biggest problems will be the lack of a car and a nearby notel.

That said you could try to work a deal on a room to rent. I have seen the same person listing the same room for rent on the Ave for 80-100 a week on CL. They ask for a deposit but It will depend on how good of a deal broker you are. Given more time you could probably find a place through one of the girls like Dave mentioned. I would just try to find a warm place with a good lock on the door. Without a car you will also narrow you "hunting ground" so I would recomend focusing on the area around K and Lehigh. Then agian this is probably the most dangerous area and I really would not recomend being on the street much after 8pm.

Well walking tbe ave is actually a good idea. On many occasions I'll get tired of driving and use my feet to find some SW'ers. Especially good around the Somerset area where at times LE is just too hot to pull over and do a pick-up. Your big problem is going to be lodging. There really is no place to stay close by. The notels do have full day rates but getting to them with a girl is an issue. Now if you stay in Philly and take a bus to the ave you can always use the Woodshed Bookstore to take your dates and can always ask the girls about any flop houses they know of. There are a couple around and some of the girls will walk there with you. (weather depending).

Now if you have a license, but just not a car. Go to Phillycarshare.org and sign up before you get here. You can rent cars by the hour for a very reasonable fee. Get one when you hit the ave and after the date drop it off, take the bus back to the hotel, recoup and come back later and get another vehicle for a few hours. Nice thing about car share is they will even reimburse your bus fare to where you have to pick up a car and they are staged in various areas throughout the entire city.

Walking the Ave is fine, especially in nice weather but, as Davey said, finding a convenient indoor place on foot, not so much. The Woodshed is fine but they charge. 25 for half an hour and it's a dump. If you take an unknown SW's suggestion of an indoor place you always run the risk of an LE sting or a robbery setup. If you are planning several dates in a day, rent a car from "rent a wreck" or Phillycarshare.org. The Carlisle is good for one date (. 20 an hour) and is about 15 to 20 minutes away from the Ave. If you are feeling especially frisky, and want to arrange several dates in a day, you can rent from 7 AM to 4 PM at the Neshaminy Inn on Route One (about 20 to 25 minutes away, depending on traffic) for their day rate of. 34, an all inclusive rate, or stay there while in town. Their overnight rate is. 45 (not sure if that is all inclusive) and they have special weekly rates.
