It is more risky, and there is also the factor of peace of mind weeks or months later. Naturally, the psychological factor plagues people more often than the actual main risk. There are some side effects, so it is appropriate for high risk individuals but not low risk individuals. Since I personally don't do anal and only occasionally do bb, they did not recommend I take PrEP. I also get regularly tested and have been vaccinated with Gardasil and Hep B.
