I have seen her several times. Never at the Extended Stay, and I didn't even know she had ever stayed there. I'm sure she did if others have seen her there, but when I see her, I don't ask where she's been staying. It has honestly never crossed my mind. The last three times I've seen her have been at her apartment downtown.

As always, I had a great time, and each visit has been better than the last. She is a great provider, and as long as she continues treating me right, I'll remain a fan.

The reason I'm weighing in on this is because when I first started seeing her, I was like many of you—I received frequent text messages asking for money to help with a room or rent. At one point, I was getting them almost daily. Eventually, I called her and told her, respectfully but directly, that I really enjoyed seeing her and that she would be making plenty of money from me through our appointments. However, I do not lend money to anyone. It wasn't going to happen then, and it isn't going to happen now. I politely asked her not to ask again. I also told her that if it meant losing her services, then so be it. She would lose a good client, and I would lose someone whose company I enjoyed—but at least I wouldn't be out any money.

To her credit, after that conversation she never asked me for money again, and we've had several great visits since.

As a personal rule, I never pay deposits or lend money to providers. If someone decides not to see me because I won't send money in advance, that's their choice. I still have my money and can spend it somewhere else if I choose.

As far as who is using whom, yes, these women—including Veronica—are providing a service for us, and they earn money from it. But we're also benefiting from what they provide. The financial part is over for me in less than 30 seconds when I open my wallet and pay. I rarely think about it afterward.

For them, though, the experience doesn't necessarily end there. They have to deal with the emotional and physical demands of meeting complete strangers, often several times a day. I can only imagine the toll that can take on some of them over time.

I'm simply saying that the exchange goes both ways. They may earn our money, but we also ask a great deal from them, and that impact can last much longer than the few seconds it takes us to pay.
