I think the Richmond, VA sugar thread is kinda the unofficial FAQ thread, but there's not a laid out list of questions, you just kind of have to dig through it.

For instance, meeting for dinner for the first time. What should I expect and what kind of gift is standard for this first time meeting? I'd highly recommend staying away from dinner or food in general as a first date. Sugaring is full of "rinsers" i.e. girls who just want to be taken out to dinner but will never actually do anything beyond make you spend money. Stick with coffee or drinks to weed out the rinsers. I prefer to already have discussed / negotiated the allowance prior to the first meeting, but there's pros and cons to doing it prior to the first meeting vs doing it in person. As for first time meet up tips: 1) Coffee or drinks are a great meet and greet option, and any girl who gets turned off by how "cheap" your date is isn't worth the price of admission. If they are that materialistic then not only are you going to pay way more allowance, but they will nickel and dime you for every little thing, nothing you do will be good enough, and generally any woman who is that high maintenance is a terrible fuck.
