Had a moment this weekend and stopped by Lux Spa in Pasadena. Been there a few times over the years. To be clear. This is just an HJ only spot, but past experiences have been pretty good with that context.

Haven't been in these forums for a while, but I thought I'd share this. Maybe two months ago a friend and I went here on a Friday afternoon. Two were working. I pulled Vivi, who was awesome. I noticed this place had opened in the last few months in El Sereno on Huntington Dr. And figured I'd take the plunge.

Wow.

This place was a disaster, and I don't even know where to start.

One woman working. I came in mid-day and was told I was the first customer. Business has been SLOW she said.

She was not a looker. Friendly enough, but totally lacking in any remotely sexy qualities.

Fluorescent lighting set the vibe, and spilled in through the two foot gaps where the walls don't meet the ceiling. Generic Chinese banjo noodling came from a distant speaker, and was periodically interrupted by the free-tier streaming service Kalshi ads, at double volume.
