This is absolutely correct and something which I've been harping and raving about. I actually live adjacent to the communities involved and you'd be surprised how many residents don't support the view of arresting SWs out there. While I myself hate to see anyone being arrested, if they're serious about cleaning this up then this is what they'll have to do. It might help clean-up some of the suspected and alleged UAs out there lately, too. The city has done a number on getting citizens to really, seriously believe that all sex workers are abused, addicted and kidnapped by some large international trafficking ring and accordingly they are all victims who should be protected. That nobody in their right mind would ever choose to work in anything connected to the sex industry. Some even extend this to the adult film industry (porn). Even a very recent opinion piece in the Seattle Times has reflected this view. Something to the effect of "it's a shame that the city doesn't help nor protect residents along Aurora while there are innocent victims working street corners throughout the area". It's pretty astonishing the effect of the propaganda. In my view a start could be exercising the loitering laws to have police go out and I'd SWs and talk to them like they used to do prior to 2020. Whenever I start debating this with neighbors I get strong push-back, it's clear they don't want anyone messing with these innocent victims out there. I don't really know how they're going to solve the problems out there without addressing this issue from a realistic viewpoint.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm ranting about this yet again ad nauseam, but I think at some point the rubber band will snap back sharply so be careful.

Myself, I'm on the fence about attending because as I live in the area right now all I hear from neighbors and community leaders is how all sex workers are victims and need to be protected. Essentially, they all feel and believe that SWs are not part of the problem at all, only pimps and johns are responsible for all of the issues along Aurora. They don't seem to want to believe that they all go together. Hot girls in thongs standing on corners draws men and they also bring their pimps. Literally every person I've talked with in the community wants the city to enforce the loitering laws however they don't want them messing with the SWs. I always argue that if they're serious about cleaning it up, they'll need to target everybody involved. Nobody wants to hear it.

The other odd thing is that they all seem to believe that every sex worker in existence in America is homeless, addicted to hard drugs, abused, exploited, trafficked by some sort of large-scale evil international trafficking cartels and completely broken. The majority of Americans have absolutely zero clue as to how any of this works and they ain't interested yet they think they can resolve issues surrounding it. So if you want to be amused and entertained by silly and goofy rhetoric about how they think they can fix a problem in which they have zero interest in knowing anything about, do attend. However it might be a good way to find out what they might do to (in their minds) combat so-called sex trafficking in the area. Right now i'm hearing about the formation of roving bands of neighborhood patrols, installation of cameras, demanding increased SPD patrols, etc.

My story was a winding adventure, but ultimately I ended-up in intelligence work which is how I spent my career. I commissioned out of ROTC back east and did a mix of active duty, reserve, active reserve and contractor assignments. I'm done with all of that now. I think that the street has always intrigued me because I like to observe it all going down. It sometimes feels rather clandestine.
