Posts: 214Yes once a year, they put together a state wide task force yadda yadda yadda. I am guessing they had their "investigation" done long ago but if they make it part of a "task force" they get federal or state money to fund it plus make some headlines. Some place gets a steady stream of "Karen's" complaining so they get targeted. Also if they suspect that people are living at store front. A couple of girls from the recent bust are married and have lived in Columbus for 10+ years.

They will mix everything in with the minors then people assume. When they say "rescue " if it doesn't specifically say "minor" that means they were 18+ but the omissions the public will draw their own conclusions. This is done across the country using omissions to lead the public to believe 20 minors was found when really a non profit knock on door and offered assistance.

Agree the excitement is over, your points are valid except I would call it "perceived success" since the final outcome will be a few slaps on the wrists.

Business as usual.

The news tends to imply that Asian massage establishments are all guilty of this sort of behavior when it is really 50% or less that get into the HE or more side of the business. There are a lot of shops that are legit and you will never get anything extra at them or at least nothing actually illegal is going on. This also causes problems for those legit establishments when it comes to finding a space to lease because many landlords will not rent to Asian massage business owners because of what some are doing.

As for the human trafficking, I don't see it around here in the L1 AMPs at least. The red flag that is always used to indicate trafficking, living in the shop, is typically the worker's choice for convenience and financial benefit. Those workers usually do not drive or have family in the area so living in the shop is a win-win for both. The worker gets cheap accommodations and the shop owner makes a little extra towards their business rent (under the table even).
It's the FS shops like Sakura, the hotel Asians, and some of the AAMPs that I suspect might be more likely trafficking candidates, not ones like Red Leaves.

She is older and fatter than her pics. She is flaky too didn't keep the appointment the first time. I don't recommend at all, total failure.

All the masseuse women I have seen have been 30+. They're always older than their pictures in my opinion.

I agree completely about the underage issues. However, it seems to me the news reporting (purposefully?) convolutes Chinese massage issues with the people trying to engage with minors. The Massage locations are not trying to entice underage people to come in for a massage. Maybe I am reading the news incorrectly but this is all arranged to cast to as bad of light as possible on the Chinese stores.

No doubt. But the underage ones disgust me. Those ones absolutely thought they were meeting someone under 18.

Law enforcement / Yost are basking in the glow of their successes. They have completed their public show of arresting, charging and seizing of cash. There will be very few actual convictions with the exceptions of the issues involving minors. They like to target Chinese massages places to get broad attention. They can tag on "human trafficking" and "money laundering" but that is virtually never the case with these women. The businesses will be shut down, the women told to get out of the town and the building owners chastised. The Chinese women want the money. They will relocate and hopefully we will get some new ones back in the area soon.

Posts: 88Pretty sure she still has her shop on Bethel Rd open. She is a legit licensed massage therapist that sees regular clients too so I always thought it was wild she would try to do both in the same office.

Yes, Red Bean started out legit, I know one of the original owners. But, it was sold recently and I had not heard anything about the menu change until after the news broke. Law enforcement could not have been investigating very long at Red Bean and likely were only doing so because of the new owner also owning Rejuvination.

Posts: 542The problem is her line "Mutual Touch is okay, nothing in any holes, no kissing, no licking, no sucking & no pinching. " She gives a good massage, and I fucked her a few times a few years ago, but then she started saying she didn't want to do more than an HJ, and started putting that line on her ads, and I stopped going. Maybe others are still having luck getting her to go further, but I wasn't anymore.

Posts: 237I guess doing the legitimate massage route didn't pay well. Going back to what worked before. Prices are steep though.
