I saw the recent posts regarding Orchid and despite my previous issues with the place, I took a chance and contacted the number in the ads. I advised my previous results. Not saying anyone's right or wrong. Just laying out what's visible.

Most new Tucson spots usually get their first traction from the local regulars. Same handful of guys, same writing styles, same posting history. You can almost predict who's going to check it out first.

This one's a little different.

A lot of the early hype is coming from accounts that don't really show up in Tucson threads. Different cities, different sections, all landing here at the same time with very similar writing styles and nearly identical pricing.

Around $220 (60 house + 160 tip) total before premium upgrades.

That's a pretty specific number to see repeated across supposedly independent first-time visits.

Could be coincidence.

Could also just be how introductions get handled sometimes.

Either way, I'm more interested in what the Tucson regulars start saying once the rotation settles and the dust clears.

Tucson's a small enough ecosystem. Real traction here doesn't stay hidden for long.

And so far, the handful of actual local reports are reading a bit differently.

Upsells.

Shortened sessions.

Extra charges after the money is already on the table.

Interesting contrast.

I'm not here to bash or promote any one shop or another I can only speak from my experience. Of course variety is the spice of life and I'm all for that. For me though I know that Melody is always going to be a good experience. There are plenty of reviews that agree with me. So for me, I can't get myself to go anywhere else because I know I'm going to be happy there and for standard rates. I'm not sure the juice is worth the squeeze to go to some of the other spots with mixed reviews and significantly higher prices. I really don't see the logic of paying more for worse service, upsells and gps. Like you said, the math doesn't add up. I feel like it's just common sense. Just my opinion.

Stopped by the Golden Arches on Oracle after seeing the board completely light up over Sage lately, and yeah I get it now.

Both the Queen and my fellow Tucson degenerates had been hyping Sage up hard, so expectations were already pretty high going in. But honestly, I had a great feeling about this girl before the session even started. As my fellow local TucsonMonger MMMGood accurately pointed out, Mary has high standards when it comes to the talent she brings in, so when she's personally excited about someone, I pay attention.

You speak of similar writing styles, yet most of the Melody reviews I see look exactly like your posts. Exact same writing style, line spacing, etc. And always trying to bash any shop that is not Melody within the review.

I have never been to either location nor have I ever even been to Tucson so I cannot comment good or bad but I will be in Glendale in 2 weeks so I figured I would scope out the local talent before my arrival. I can say that I have indeed seen Sakura in Orange County at BB Spa about a month ago and she is great. Why don't you stick to your promoting of Melody and not comment on things that you have not experienced.

Decided to try Orchid...I hand over. 2 for the room for the hour and for services. I was surprised when everything became an upsell from that point on. She said ". 2 will only get you 45 minutes. Give me $40 more for an hour" after I'd already handed the funds over...Eventually we end with me laying back down and I finally finish. It was at the 40 minute mark. They promptly rushed me the hell out of there, not before asking for more of a tip. Basically shoved out the door and it's the first time I was never even offered a water!
...I hated the upselling right off the jump, right after I handed over the. 2, was bummed that after paying I was told I'd only get 45 min unless I pay more. While unintentional, they really made me feel like they wanted me out, and 20 minutes before my hour was up no less, what I paid an additional $40 for. I really disliked being pushed out in the and and not even offered a water.
This experience lacked the warmth and connection I find at Melody. I know there's a ton of reviews for Melody but they're well earned and that's just the long and short of it. There was no focus on connection at Orchid and while it felt good and they were hot, it felt like going through motions rather than a cohesive experience where they want to get to know your wants and needs. Sure we go to get our rocks off, but that's only part of it. I probably won't be going back to Orchid. I wasn't a fan of the experience.

I went to Orchid. Like you, it was based on other reviews. Also like you, I learned the hard way this place sucks and doesn't deserve my business.

Same shit, rushed everything with upsell. No, thank you. It really makes you appreciate a place like Melody. They're true professionals that give a fantastic experience.

At Orchid, what you experienced was completely intentional. They suck.

Saw a fellow Monger giving a protip on another board and figured I'd repost it here with a few tweaks for the benefit of the coMMunity.

One of the biggest complaints about the House of M is always the same: Amazing service and gorgeous girls, but the place can get packed and the flow gets interrupted.

Today might be a different story.

With Mother's Day here, a lot of the regulars are probably tied up with family obligations. For the locals who can sneak away for a little "self-care," there's a good chance the palace will be quieter than usual.

The Queen may have fewer subjects to rule today. No brunch? No flowers? The Queen might even have time to see you!

That means fewer interruptions, less waiting, and a better chance at the kind of long, relaxing, uninterrupted session that can be hard to come by when the palace is running at full capacity.

For those with no Mother's Day obligations, today Might be one of the better windows you'll get.

That's usually my game plan. I always hit up Melody on the holidays. Unfortunately I did not get to partake today.
