It's just an extortion plot and anybody that bites the hook well they end up losing money just block the number and get on with life and don't give it a second thought. If they're using some sort of dialing app to generate a phony number on their end then it'll be tough to block them but just ignore that shit and get on with life. I'm a single guy so shit like that doesn't matter to me and it's also the reason whenever I go to a call for someone that I haven't seen before there's always a baby glock in my pocket and if the provider has a problem with that shit I turn around and walk out the door but you have to protect yourself however you can. The caller is likely overseas and in my case they text pictures of dead bodies to scare you. If you pay, they never stop harassing. Check a google search or chatgpt and you will see how it works.

No doubt the guy that called you is a pimp running several women. Did you give them any personal information that will allow them to identify you in real life? I know you can find out a lot with just a phone number (your real phone number), but did you use your real name (first & last), tell them where you're from, vehicle information, where you're staying, etc.

The guy is probably just trying to intimidate you and get some cash out of you. If they call again from the same number, answer the phone "Birmingham Police Department, Human Trafficking Division, how may a help you".
