Being able to communicate in the same language as some of the providers has allowed me to skip the small talk and get some insight in this hobby and their line of work. I've come to know that the topic of STDs and STD treatment are stigmas in Japan, thus contradicting the cleanliness argument. Cleanliness does not imply STD awareness.
