I took the opportunity to check out the east side SW action. And it was slow. Or below my expectations. I traveled up 3rd from Smithville. And spotted a few SW's but below my level. It was about 6:00 PM. I was just fininshng gasing up at Speedway as I noticed a cutie walking down Stewart toward Brown near UD. She was easily an 8/10 and surprised me when she made eye contact. Friends, had a strange one last night. Had my weekly poker night in Centerville, turned out the cards werent there for me; and I did not want to sit there and watch the repeats of the Steelers-Ravens games. So, I left early. Decided to stop into Roosters for a few wings and beer. As I was walking in there was a pleasant young lady all bundled up for the weather. She was standing near the door, and had just bummed a smoke from another patron. Innocent enough.

I spent a total of about an hour there, and the whole time she would come in and out. Sit at an empty table for a few minutes, drinking a water (one coffee I think), and then go back out. A couple of times I overheard one of the staff mention that if she wasnt going to be joined by the rest of her party and they got more full she would have to leave, blah, blah.

So, on my way out she was again at the door and she asked if I had a smoke. I told her that I had a pack in the truck if she wanted to follow. Then, just in casual small talk I asked if she got stood up or something. She laughed and said yes. But not like how I was thinking. It turns out that the battery for her car was not ready for the frigid air and was not able to crank. DAYTON — Veteran vice detectives were setting up surveillance as Kody Stacy walked up and down East Fifth Street, peering into cars with lone male drivers.

It wasn't long before Ronald A. May pulled up next to her in a 1994 Green Pontiac about 3:40 p.m. on Jan. 5, and Stacy, a known prostitute, got in the car, according to a police report.

May told detectives he took Stacy to smoke crack in exchange for sex, the report stated. Both were issued summons to appear in court and May was able to drive off in his Pontiac.

But starting as early as late spring, offenders like May will no longer be able to drive away if caught soliciting a prostitute within the city.

Police Chief Richard Biehl hopes by then his officers will be trained to enforce a new city ordinance that allows them to impound automobiles used in crimes involving sexual activity.

Offenders will have to pay a towing fee on top of a fine to recover the car. City commissioners passed the ordinance in October.

"We are hoping the possibility of losing your mode of transportation will deter some from engaging in this illegal activity," Biehl said.

Officers make nearly 450 prostitution-related arrests per year, according to police records.

Undercover stings have yielded little results in deterring prostitution. Vice detectives often arrest the same prostitutes again and again and can recognize them from their unmarked cars, according to police reports.

That's how detectives knew Stacy, 30, was a prostitute. She has been arrested five times for prostitution-related crimes, according to court records.

May, 49, and Stacy are awaiting court action on misdemeanor charges of soliciting, loitering and prostitution. May also faces a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia.

The Best usa-ipw (newbie, 1st post) I rolled just after midnight needing to charge my cell phone as my wall charger was at the office and hoped to see Trish or some other hardworking SW who needed the $ and was smart enough to leverage the nice weather. I looped Wayne, Xenia, Fifth and Third. Saw one WSW (grade 2 or 3. Easy to pass up), several bottom feeding drug dealers or want-to-be's, a few other mongers (one of which was pulled over by LE), and more and more LEs as time passed. When I picked up my own LE tail, I decided to call it a night and went straight home. I'm going to try another approach tonight, maybe one of the lines. If that doesn't work I'll bank my load in the hopes that tomorrow is a better a day.
