He didn't do it last time why is he bringing up letters again because the letters are baseless accusations and slander.

Posts: 67Time line around the active LEO surveilance in Methuen
From an MSN report earlier today:
"The investigation took off shortly after Beauregard was elected mayor in December 2024 when nearby residents reported suspicious activity, the mayor said. Over the next few months, Methuen police surveilled the massage parlor with help from Lawrence police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)."
So. One needs to assume that anyone visiting since the beginning of this year has been actively surveilled. Even though the resident who had been snapping pics and writing down plate numbers gave them to the PD, the active surveillance is probably that which they have been talking about regarding letters, etc. Maybe.

Yeah, unless you have compelling evidence that a customer engaged in something more than a massage, assuming every customer that visited what by all appearances is a lawful bodywork shop is about the most racist and anti-business thing you could do. It would be begging for a slander / libel lawsuit.

I find it hard to believe that any town attorney would advise the mayor that sending those letters would be a good idea?
They also set up a hotline for victims and witnesses to call. I'm guessing that every Karen in town will be ringing that phone, but zero victims. LOL.

I was spending too much on this hobby anyway so I guess now is the time to save money. With ICE cracking down on the country, it may just get worse around the state.

Posts: 859The city will need to justify the funds thrown at the "task force" They will bust a couple of the more hard-to-miss ones. Hopefully it will blow over, but this story does not have a happy ending.
For those who roll in Methuen, we know there have been a lot of great options over the years, it would be a shame if this one Karen makes it no fun for anyone.

Posts: 2129I am sure the media knows it is BS. But splashing "victims" all over the reports brings them attention and increases traffic (no pun intended) to their websites.

So from what it sounds like they are not going after the customers and task force just started at 9:38 confirmation customers not getting charged hopefully this is a big one and done, however will avoid Methuen parlors for a while in case the mayor is serious this is full press conference.

How is a customer getting a massage any different from the car dealer ships customers next door, You don't know who they are. Or the Dunkin Donuts across the street.
All you did was put some people out of work and make some lonely men have to look somewhere else.
You really didn't change the neighborhood at all. It will be a steady stream of customers for all the other businesses, and you don't know if they are perverted axe murderers either.
End rant.

Yes I just saw is this the start of crack down so far from what I understand despite the police chief threat is that us mongers only tend to get arrested if they catch us in the act, because if they have access to the women's video camera they may try to identify us. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
