Now over the past 6 to 7 years (since 2019 / pre-pandemic 2020), we here in the US have suffered with overall inflation of approx 26% to 27% (all-in), although most services showed lower inflation.

In 2026 my business attorney (in Ocala) charges $300 / hour (he's pretty pricey, but damn good).

I went to an out-of-network / specialist doctor just a month ago, where I was in exam room for 1 hr 15 min, a full 55 minutes with the doctor and a nurse, and about 15 min with another nurse. I was charged $275 (including tests), which is approx $220 / hour.

Just this past month, my dentist charged $155 for exam, xrays, and cleaning, which takes about an hour. Checking with them this morning, if you need a new crown (including exam and xrays) he chargers $240, and takes about an hour overall.

So, even today in 2026 with all the jaw-boning of inflation, professional services in Ocala provided by individuals with graduate degrees / professional degrees / med-school / law-school / etc. , charge between $150 to $300 / hour.
