I am typically a FS guy. I pay for the hour, tip the FS amount up front, and enjoy myself. Lately I have been thinking about branching out and trying new spas. I do not want to drop $$4 - $$8 each time so I am considering half hour and either HJ or BBBJ. I think BBBJ will tell me more about the place and if I want to return for FS in the future.

My question:

What's the normal tip for HJ and BBBJ? I don't want to insult the provider by low balling her, but I also don't want to have a provider tell me she needs $5 when it should be $.

Pms are fine if the info is better given that way. I trolled back about 6 pages on here and didn't see anyone talking about it..

As my grandpa used to say, "there are no stupid questions, only stupid people. " He didn't mean you, Rick. He was talking about my cousin, Todd. But I digress. I, myself, also enjoy partaking in the "full spa experience". I normally pay within the same range that you quoted as well.

Up front, I will say that BBBJ is not something that is offered freely at most establishments. That is something you're going to have to seek out, and this is a good forum for such a search. Personally, I don't even bother with L2, since it's almost always going to be offered as covered, and that just does nothing for me. As for L1, I think 60 is the typical tip, and I always try for 40 to begin, especially if they don't seem to be the kind of provider that normally earns high tips. I refuse to pay 80 for L1, I'll end the massage instead.

My cousin Todd is the kind of guy who pays 80+ for L1. I see some reviews here describing overpayment on L1 because the Monger just thought the service was "above and beyond" or "out of this world". To each their own, but that doesn't do the rest of us any favors. Stick to the grid, and we can do something about this inflation over the last couple years in our hobby.
