I found it interesting that the male was charged with.
"Prosecutors say McGill transported women to and from the Sunny Spa on W. Market Street in Warren and bought food and other supplies for the women who lived there and performed sex acts at the spa. ".
Along with other things similar to the women.

That is freaking hilarious. Thanks for sharing.
You know in all sincereity, and sadly, Nashville used to be a great place for Chinese girls to come find AMP work. But I have a few Chinese friends there who have told me it's changed; it's really bad there. You can Google it. According to my friends, several AMPs have been robbed repeatedly by the "cartel people", and "illegal foreigners" (their words, not mine). They've been raped, robbed and won't go to the police. They were robbed 5 times last year. And they were PISTOL WHIPPED. It finally got so bad that A Spa in Nashville finally called the police on themselves. Unfortunately the girls also got busted and arrested, which is why they didn't want to call in the first place. Lastly a friend of mine is a cop in Mt Juliet near Nashville. He said they're busting AMPs to find illegal immigrant mongers and are hitting the jackpot every time.
Here's just one AMP robbery of many that have happened in Nashville, Jasmine Spa.

It's just a bit, but I laughed. Thought some of you mongers might appreciate the humor.

I know to operate in Colerain Twp the laws changed a few years ago. They are strict for new business. Old business was grandfathered as is. Will this be another way for areas to make parlors disappear?

If they're already charging landlords this way. I don't remember seeing it before. Landlords will become more involved in their properties and more selective about what's going on. Less opportunities of places for us to visit. That's one way of thinning out the herd.

A Texas woman agreed to a plea deal, so this is already happening, with or without the additional penalty.

Posts: 804Thanks for Pointing out the Thorny Finer Points
Good on you, Kirby, for reading the briefing and raising alarm bells. You point out in plain English how a landlord might be held responsible when all he or she has doing is rent space to a business. Reminds me a little of how a bartender or bar owner might be held responsible for the actions of an intoxicated patron. Or how gun manufacturers that legally manufacture firearms may be sued when a miscreant uses them for no good. Kinda like saying the fork made me fat!
We live in an age where new, novel and tyrannical legal theories flourish. I reckon prosecutors hellbent on busting the world's oldest profession will use any trick in the book. As of now, HB 507 is just a working draft. But I think many here will carefully follow its progression through the halls of government.

Was doing some random looking into the new law and found something more of interest. The ability to charge a landlord! Ugghh. What's that going to do to the market place the first time that happens? You can't convince me some landlords aren't aware of what's happening on their properties. I don't doubt there isn't a hush money trail there too.
This new law truly is designed to follow the money.
"While the OPD believes current law sufficiently covers the illegal aspects of prostitution and.
Remains concerned that additional criminalization will result in stacking of charges, the OPD's.
Primary opposition with HB 507 is its imposition of a third-degree felony penalty. We appreciate.
The bill's aim to target persons who are knowingly engaging in conduct that condones, while.
Also profiting from, prostitution. However, language also catches others who do not necessarily.
Condone the conduct but do in fact know a person is engaged in prostitution. This can include.
A landlord, convenience store owner, or even a health care provider. ".

The law is not in effect yet. But we are stuck in this buckeye ecosystem to stamp out all AMPs. Any level. But they let daycare fraud go on for years in their Columbus backyard under their nose. they did shut down 12 somali daycares last year.. the population Somali is over 60k in c-bus, so somebody did airport runs to pick up Somali

Great perspective, as always, SlamT. Our dear friend C. E. Had already shared some precision insight on this. This is a "nice guys finish last" proposition. Even if you want to be nice and help out (grocery run, airport run, take them to the bank, etc), out of a good intention, you could still potentially and indirectly be connected to a crime. Even money laundering, without even knowing it or thinking you had anything to do with it. It's a sobering wake up call.

"This essentially broadens liability to include people who manage, funnel or redistribute earnings from prostitution instead of just those who physically accept it."
We know they (LEO) are currently following the money. This will allow them to charge more people. That may be what they are waiting on before unleashing maximum pain.
"Promoting prostitution, for instance, makes it illegal to operate a brothel, supervise a prostitute or otherwise profit from sex trafficking.
Compelling prostitution is a more serious crime that involves forcing someone to engage in prostitution through force, fear, duress or intimidation.
Prosecutors can also bring charges under Ohio's human trafficking law when someone recruits, lures, transports or harbors another person for the purpose of sexual exploitation."
Bigger consequences. Ugghh.
