I am not suprised that you have been correct by so many already. Admitting that you are in the process of attempting to break the law is never a good idea. My advice:

2)Know your rights. After being cooperative and answering general question unless they find some evidence of a crime then LE has nothing to hold you on.
3)Limit yourself to one criminal activity at once. (ie don't monger while DUI is a possibility)
4)Limit risk as much as possible. I prefer not to monger too much at night when no sane person would be hanging out on the Ave. I also prefer to have my fun behind closed doors other than my car door. (Getting caught with your pants down is a bad idea.
The only time I was actually stopped with someone in the car we had stopped for some food and she was waiting in the car as I picked it up. As I was returning to the car I see her screaming out the window to one of her "friends". Out of the corner of my eye I see a LE cruiser rounding the corner. I kind of shush her but the driver sees me. I get in wait a few minutes and then pull away and I get about a block before I get stopped. We get an officer at each window and she tells the one at her that she is an addict. That made me a little nevous but I stuck to my story and I received a bs ticket which I later beat in court. We had an ok date afterwards but that was the last one with her for me!
News from Friday:
I was out for a bit on friday and LE seemed a little light but there was not much to look at either late morning to early afternoon. I heard from one young lady that LE had been busting ladies with fake Johns. That would make sense to me. Why have your ULE freezing on the streets catching Johns in the middle of the winter. I also heard that a much discussed private residence might have had an unmarked car watching it recently. The person who told me this said she was not sure they were there for the house but it did deture her client. I would recomend that you scout out that area before stopping in. I also saw a got to see a bit of a drug crack down between K and Frankford. That area has seem to become a big and obvious selling area in the last year. There were a few marker cars and even a drawn gun. That was enough of a day for me!

Posts: 128A couple of months ago, someone had inquired about the status of SW further up in the Northeast and there had been talk about some merchandise being available on Torresdale Avenue. On Friday, I was driving around around 11AM and I passed by 2 WSW. The first one was on the East Side of the street and was about 21 years old with dark brown hair, brown eyes. It was quite cold out, so I can't tell you what the body looked like, but I can tell that she wasn't out of shape.
The second one was a bit older, I would venture a guess, to say that she was either late 30s or early 40s. She was standing on the West Side of the Street near Torresdale and Tyson (the little street south of Tyson). She had blonde hair and blue eyes and she looked to be healthy, as well. Unfortunately, a monger was in front of me, and he made a very quick turn onto the street and pulled over to invite her in. I couldn't partake, anyways, because I was on the clock.
Just wanted to add some information.

Anything you say can and will used against you in court of law... Don't be afraid to invoke your 5th Amendment rights. As posted numerous other times the following link while demonstrating a drug bust is equally correct if you get stopped for a 'ho different reason. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqMjMPlXzdA

You both are probably right and perhaps I've been lucky. It also might be hit and miss and depend who the cop is. I've been pulled over with a SW or just cruising the ave. At least a dozen times over 20 years. I've always admitted why I'm there figuring to lie would just infuriate LE since they already know why I'm there. The worst I've gotten is a traffic ticket for loitering one time. I've been told when let go if I'd lied they would have made it worse on me and I was smart not to insult they're intelligence. While overall with most Le this might be a bad move and I've been lucky I'll stick to what has worked for me.

Definitely bad advice.

"C'mon," they say, "we know why you're here. Just admit it." and maybe they even tell you "It will go much easier for you if you admit it." They act like they are your friends, giving helpful advice.
Trust me on this one. If they do not have proof you committed a crime, then admitting what you were doing is giving them the proof they need. They may tell you that you are making it easier for yourself but the only truth is that you are making their case for them.
One time, after insisting I did not know she was a working girl and thought she was only looking for a ride, they had to let me go and one of the officers turned to me and said, "You are one of the smart ones."
As you speak the words, "Yes, I am with a ho. I was just out for some fun" you need to hear the clink of a cell door.

All due respect, I would not recommend doing what Trashed has mentioned. You may have been lucky, but admitting to something like that is not a good idea. Of course being polite and responsive is well advised but admission of an illegal activity is not.

Posts: 40Re: My report on Leo
I did not circle back because of how he was riding my ass, I diddnt want to get any unwanted attention. As far as the SW. I obviously cannot say with 100% certainty, but she looked very much like the girl that CJ has multiple photo shoots of. Her name is slipping my mind, but she is a bigger girl, brunette, and he has several photos of her with several different 3 sums.
The SUV had two people inside of it, and the comment about checking for warrants makes perfect sense. It certainly seemed as something happened for this thing to floor the gas, weave past me and between oncoming traffic.
Keep in mind that there may have been other officers, I just did not stay around to find out. I was really banking on the person being a member of this forum, that would of worked out perfect.

Posts: 214In spite of all the precautiuons
All the advice about getting of the K is on the money. In spite of this one must be prepared if that's even possible. A while back I picked up red headed Nicole on a side street. Turned around and was sitting at a light to cross the K. Even that little K exsposure was enough. I went thru the light across the K down the back streets only to be pulled over within a minute and severly harrassed. Only when I admitted why I was with Nicole did they let me go. My experience is telling the cops the truth is the best policy. As long as you have no drugs on you or are going to get them. Each time I've told LE I'm with a ho or cruising to pick one up I've been let go with a warning. They already know why were there I think they get a kick out of humiliating us and hearing the words. My rambling point is even the side streets aren't 100% safe if Le sees you with a SW.

DukePV has an older pic posted of her in his alphabetic index (before she started wearing her hair in a pony tail).

As reported by Anarchy, I am also concerned what went down. No way a sting as they would never let the car leave the scene and only chase it with one SUV. Most likely as they traveled the K an undercover recognized the girl and as he followed was checking for any warrents on her. Once he got the green light, he acted. The lesson here is do not drive the Ave with your pick-up, as has been stated before by other members, get off immediatly to a side street. Remember the old song from the 60's "The night has a thousand eyes".

On a few occassions when I've seen cars get snagged pulling over by an SW or after picking up an SW, I have tried to circle back a few minutes later and see what happened. A number of times I've seen the driver is in cuffs and the lady is not but she is talking to the officers and it was clear that she was ULE.

Anarchy, did you see the bust? I've always thought that, if the girl gets in to the car and you get away from the intersection, you are pretty safe. I hate to think that we have to follow the procedure recommened by Supereloquent (leave car, walk, meet, engage, walk back). Anyway, if LEO pulls over cars with "pretty well known SWs" in the front seat, it doesn't matter how cautious we are doing the pickup.
I'd love to know more details. Will the effected monger, please stand up?

Well for all of you Gianna fans, she is still out there and doing fine.
Found her late last night and didn't even recognize her she was so
bundled up. She put on a few pounds and looked better than she has
in a while. Took off for a quick FS date as I had a curfew last night and
really needed to get home.

I have said this before, but make sure you drive like a little old grandmother, have your seat belt (and your passenger's seat belt) fastened, be very polite to Uncle LEO and your paperwork is in pristine order. Moreover, even in this cold weather, park a block away and engage the SW on foot. It is much easier that way to spot anyone following either on foot or by car and far easier to deny anything other than walking and talking with the young lady. If you pull over on K and allow a known SW to get in, you may as well hang a "follow and stop me" sign on your car for any observing LE. This is especially true for certain famous areas of K like near the franchise store named after 2 numbers we like to see come up playing craps and a certain subway stop that sounds like an area for shooting wild animals.
