No need to add on by falling for an obvious scam. It made you think twice, it's a scam.

Personally, I only deal in cash and never give a deposit. If they push back on either, I thank them for their response and move on. If they don't simply reply to an initial inquiry for their location and rates and become evasive, then I move on. An exception is an Asian ad with a note that they are an agency. They serve multiple cities and may ask which one you are from. Pretty pictures are everywhere and there are too many legitimate providers for me to waste time with suspected scammers.

Glad you came here to ask. I wasn't so lucky when I first started out years ago.

Tryst has become inundated with scammers now unfortunately. Previously you could generally rely on an ad in Tryst to be legitimate, whereas places like stg or ea had a higher proportion of scammers than Tryst. That is no longer the case. Gift cards requesters are 100% scam artists.

Based on your budget, if you're looking on Tryst, only reach out to providers who do at least some screening. This is advice specific to Tryst only. It generally has slightly more upscale providers, and legitimate upscale providers will almost always insist on some form of screening. And if the person you reach out to asks "where (which city) are you located" when you're looking for incall, that's another sign of it being a scam. If the provider is legit, she has no need to know which city you're in. The scammer has a map pulled up where they locate a hotel to give you an address in the city you mention.

Just assume scam because. It almost certainly is. Never give a deposit. Never give money. In advance to someone you haven't met. Even if you have met them it's best to avoid giving money in advance of seeing them. If you want to throw away $$ you can just send it to me LOL.

I tried to TOFTT and contacted Sasha the other day as my regular was not replying. She replied promptly and even got a location. Because she does not list the party favors on her ad, and had bad experiencing with other providers in the past that did the same, I asked to her the what is in the menu and what is not. Her reply was simple: everything protected, no kissing and no fingers anywhere and no physical contact unless she approves it first.
