Owner wasn't aware, and finally found that a few dancers were going above and beyond and stopped it. Those left and figured they could do better on OF and whatever private arrangement they could make. Still the normal fun but the rift raft-raft is gone so the place is cleaned up a bit. This is the last club in Kokomo so we don't need bad stuff shutting it down.

LapDogg, don't kid yourself day shift has been, how do you say extremely liberal for the last 25 yrs I've been going. Not so much nights they seem to focus on takeouts.

The owner has been fully aware of goings on that's what's bringing the business not the overpriced drinks or the ambience.

Formal complaints filed, rumor has it squabbling between a dancer and the day bartender led to the FIRING of several long-time strippers.

Between the owner's age, declining business and the loss of some great girls I hope the hugger can survive.

But I don't go to a strip club for elegant and classy. "Above and beyond" is exactly what I want. Perhaps the owner shutting that down and his business going down are related.

From reading the ad for the sale of Hip Huggers. Did it sound like the price only includes the land, building, improvements and liquor license but not the business itself? If the purchase price does not include the trademark on the business, what is to stop the seller from taking the money and opening another Hip Huggers somewhere else in town and suing you for using the name Hip Huggers? Unless you wanted to buy the trademark in a separate transaction I guess but I wouldn't want the real estate without the trademark unless I felt the real estate by itself was worth 2. 2 million which I doubt. If anything, I could see someone buying the trademark and signing a long term lease for the building and just operate as renter and possibly buying the building at the end of the lease.

Owner is up in years and has health issues. He isn't going to open another Hip Hugger. The asking price et al, should be considered a starting point for a negotiation like any real estate deal.

I believe lots of dancers have left. I used to get dances from Shelby and Christie. I believe they are both gone now. Does anyone know how to get in contact with them?

The hugger's been circling the drain for the last 12 months my understanding is many dancers may have been stuck in the vortex and sucked down.

Sounds like the classic SC selling model. When Crawfordsville SC was for sale (for 20 years, for $1,000,000) I offered Warren $300 k once. He laughed at me and said he'd rather do what he was doing, sit at a table every night drinking bourbon, watching tits, and getting paid. No idea how much Coyote ended up paying for it but it was probably too much.

Lots of great memories at the ole Hugger in the late 90's through 2015 ish. Dancer quality has declined, local economy in the dumps and the owner is 90. Sad to see.

Anybody have any recent visits to report on? Anybody?

Building wise nothing's changed in 57 years except for tablecloths and chairs.

Day shift. Pretty much the same girls for the last year and those are hit and miss expect to find anywhere from 3 to 9 dancers working.

On a sad note Donnie passed away last week from a short illness. Not Don the owner but Donnie.
