I scheduled a late morning appointment with Praxy not too long ago. I texted her the day before and we agreed on a time. She was very easy to deal with via text. Very polite and enthusiastic. When a provider who is a considerable drive away is not responding, I have a simple protocol. I calculate the latest time I can leave home and still make the appointment on time. Then, about a half hour before the deadline, I send a text stating that if I do not receive a reply by that time, I cannot make the appointment. I will send a similar message about 10 minutes before the deadline. At that point, either she responds or she doesn't. If she doesn't, I stay home. Yes, you may get crap for breaking the appointment, but if you can't call the Better Business Bureau, neither can she.
