Sorry to hear you wasted resource on that dead end. How long was it between the address text and when you got there? If it's a new provider I've never seen, I try to keep them on the line with various techniques. I will never head their way until I put the address into maps then add another 5-10 minutes to allow me to scout the place first when I pull up. So if that time ends up being 30 minutes I ask if 30 minutes or whatever the actual time will be for my arrival works for them. If they don't acknowledge, I don't even get in the car. If it's truly a 30 min commute then about 10 min away I'm texting again for confirmation. Most of the time they will respond but if not then I have to make a judgement call on if it's even worth continuing the drive or pivot to reaching out to another ad. Experienced providers are also usually asking you to text them about 5-10 minutes ahead of time anyway as their way to get confirmation you're still coming.

I've also had situations where the chick is just giving out the address and and telling everyone to come. I've had to learn to cut bait and leave shortly after getting no response. Don't mean to vent but I don't really talk to anyone about this hobby. A couple days ago I thought I'd go see a girl.
