For the uninitiated, this is one of the many reasons to have a burner cell. I went to Walmart about 2 yrs ago and paid cash for a pseudo smart phone. Quite similar to an iPhone and was like $40. They have several cheaper options. Prepaid cards with unlimited texting and calls are $15. Keep the phone off and stashed until it's needed to avoid any accidental calls from someone the Mrs would frown upon. Let alone having a second cell.

Good idea! But I had to maintain two phones and two carrier accounts. Switched to using an extra phone number app on my one phone. It's been perfect for two years! $47 a year for unlimited voice, messages, images, videos. And you can turn off notifications easily for discretion. The app is named Hushed.

Many, not all, spas have a cell phone for the store, which is commonly transferred when a spa I sold. It is better to text than call. Idk how many times I've heard a monger call and the gal has no idea what's being said and just goes with it. "Yes, you come".

All the girls have their own personal cell. Be aware that if you get a girl's number, she will also have yours. This opens you up to requests and favors. Can you take me to Costco? Can you take girl to airport? Etc etc etc. Can you drive me to my new location? Don't assume they know you are married. They won't ask, they will just blowup your phone or FaceTime call you.

Quite frequently, like what happened when I was in a spa yesterday, she turns on the speakerphone so I could hear and understand the caller, then I translate to her what she should reply to the caller, or just to end the call. (If the caller mentions anything about extras, she immediately ends the call- LOL.).

I've had this happen several times. Once a monger was asking 'I was wanting you to give me head, it's ok I have been there before'. LMAO. This is certainly not the way and most won't understand the phrase 'give me head' if any English you are speaking. She looked at me, I said "Tā wèand" (he ask) then motioned a BJ and her face was priceless and she say 'massage only' to him and hung up.

My Chinese is 'I cannot speak Chinese at all' but knowing a few phrases can go a long way. Especially hello and thank you. These women are just trying to earn a living and the cultural view of what they do differs. They are not street ****** so please do not treat them as one. Some respect and understanding will lead to a better experience for you and your provider.

AJ08 has the correct idea, but let me refine it a bit, based on my own empirical evidence.

Because so many of these working ladies do not speak conversational English, it is not much good for them to answer the house phone, so instead, 'the boss' keeps the phone with her and answers your calls, then usually sends a text to her worker's personal phone if the caller says he will visit.

Over the past few years, several boss ladies / owners and I have been travelling in my car or shopping at Walmart when one of her three phones ring (her one personal phone plus one house phone from each of her two stores). When she answers, she always has a sweet voice and then asks the caller 'when you coming?' plus she always says 'no busy. ' Quite frequently, like what happened when I was in a spa yesterday, she turns on the speakerphone so I could hear and understand the caller, then I translate to her what she should reply to the caller, or just to end the call. (If the caller mentions anything about extras, she immediately ends the call- LOL.).

Once a monger told me of a safety issue at a newly opened spa, wondering if I could take a look and repair. I texted the house phone in Chinese, got an immediate reply that yes OK to go take a look. Within a day I texted again and set up an appointment, showed up at the door at the appointed time, and the worker lady there said she knew nothing about it, and even after I showed her my texts, she apologized and kindly asked me to leave. When I texted to express my own apologies, the 'call center' said they were in Chicago.

Unless you have a great rapore with a girl and a history of punctuality, I'd guess appointments are iffy, at best.
