I used to want to go into trap houses. Never having been on dope myself, I wanted to learn how they operate and to know the people inside. It was a curiosity thing for me.

When you don't belong, though, everyone looks at you. Sometimes you get a head nod or a smile from someone. Just because they're being friendly doesn't mean they aren't a threat. I've been very closed-mouth because oftentimes they're trying to feel me out for whether I make a lot of money, if I might have a lot of money on me, what my status may be by who I know in their circles, whether I'm careful, whether I could be a threat, etc. For the most part, the less they know, the less comfortable they are to attack you.

I once kind of got to know a guy at a trap. We were cool, and it seemed we had mutual respect. Then he called me one day asking me to come over to talk about a girl. I know he's violent, has a bad temper, and robs people. 2 plus 2 wasn't equaling 4. What did we need to talk about inside the house that we couldn't do on the phone? LOL. Fuck that shit. I've done it in trap houses several times in a handful of different states. However, with all the eyeballs on me walking in and out including dope boys, 'tutes, and other male junkies, the daring excitement has worn off for me. I've had a couple experiences I'd rather not repeat. I didn't get robbed, beaten, or anything, but it came close. I try to have a bit more control of the environment these days.

The last time was somewhat recent, and the dope boy got pissed that I didn't pay the girl more. He began yelling at her about it, and I lit out of there because he was telling her I need to pay more. Sure, I could have shot or stabbed him and the other dope boy, but I don't need that attention from popo. I sure wasn't going to let two of them kick the shit out of me.

Another time in another state, we were in a back room fucking. One of the dope boys banged on the door that he wanted his money for the room rent. The girl talked to him a bit, we finished fucking, and then he confronted me about the money. He was a big motherfucker who was probably on roids, and the other dudes in there were also ripped. I told him it was supposed to come out of what I gave the girl which was true. When he turned his attention back to yelling at her, I lit out of there.

Could I have paid more each time? Sure. Was I going to? Nope. They can all go fuck themselves.
