You're right about a Suboxone prescription likely indicating the person is not using opiates. In addition, it actually impairs the effects of opiates, making them kind of a waste of money. You'd have to quit taking the Suboxone for several days, at least, before your body could once again convert opiates to the "high" users seek.

There can be some pleasant "feeling of well-being" effects from Suboxone, but nothing like opiates. It helps with the cravings, and the withdrawal symptoms, which allow the person to be more normal.
