To the best of my understanding there has to be a tear in the epidermis of the penis or the vaginal lining that the virus enters through. Contracting HIV through normal fluid exchange during vaginal intercourse is extremely unlikely. Most common exposure seems to be chlamydia, gonorrhea, and herpes. Two of those just need a shot to eliminate. The big concern for me is HIV.
