Is Sunflower out of business? I saw a few posts about them a little while back. I live real close to the shop and have noticed that the usual "open" sign is not on. I don't see anyone parked in front anymore. What's the scoop?

I wouldn't trust anything LEO puts out in a press release, them putting out false information as a scare tactic is just a likely as those women testing positive.

My (NON-EXPERT) understanding is that solicitation becomes a felony in Ohio if the person doing the soliciting knowingly had HIV. So while I agree that LEO is not above using scare tactics, I would think they actually have a good reason to test everyone arrested. Are they sharing the actual correct results? Diving into court records for these ladies may shed some light.

It works both ways. I'm not taking their side by no means but if the right attorney felt what they released was false information, I could see a lawsuit. Lawsuits happen over the dumbest things and this would rank right up there but it happens everyday.

The really bad news of that is the ladies at sky spa that got busted are tested positive with the H word.

They're going after the human trafficking element.

What entails actual 'trafficking' can be interpreted differently. Soliciting is still a plain-vanilla misdemeanor in most states. Trafficking is a good juicy felony. I encourage everyone to read around on what can be considered "trafficking. " It's rarely as cut and dry as movies and the news would have you believe. It's often whether or not they can make the charge stick given the circumstances.

Worth pointing out that some states just decided to show their hand entirely on this and make solicitation a felony. Be extra careful mongering in Texas and North Carolina as a first time solicitation charge is now a full-blown felony. It would be interesting to know if those states are still performing ops to try and fight "trafficking", and also interesting to see if the trafficking charges have dropped as the number of solicitation charges has risen. Supposedly other states are mulling over adopting this same strategy. Know before you go.

I'd be careful if I were going to Sakura and other places. It's a roll of the dice at this point.

Sakura always seems to dodge this stuff and keep their nose clean. That being said, yes, everyone should keep their eyes open and be operating with an extreme amount of caution given what we know.

Thank you GoodWill, I shut down ALL of my SM accounts several years ago, and most recently even stopped participating in the local Nextdoor neighborhood App, because no matter what was said, no matter what the subject was, some brainwashed moron (on either side of the silly circus aisle) would come along and turn it political. They just can't help themselves, the Kool-Aid is strong! THAT is exactly what the PTB want. WE THE PEOPLE arguing amongst ourselves so we're not really paying attention to their corruption.

I think it's telling that someone would / could conclude how I voted from that post. Also agree that this thread needs to be moved to the Octagon, and to the Admin's and the participants of this forum, I apologize if I stirred up a baby hornet's nest.

The human trafficking tag is a way to get Fed funds to enforce outdated Christian morality. The bulk of these women are not trafficked and are here to earn $. They live in NY and travel back and forth as they wish. Take jobs as they wish. To many studies back this.

This shit is so ridiculous. I mean, if you set up shop across from a school or even a church, you deserve what you get I suppose. But take the old Hong in Middletown for example. If you ever went there, it was set back in a little covey of the old Middletown Shopping Center, you couldn't even see it from any road. That strip mall had basically gone to shit (like most of Middletown did while I was gone for 30 years). The foot traffic wasn't outrageous. Hell, you could even park in old Jacot Park and come in the back way if you didn't mind walking a little. They really weren't being disruptive at all. But my guess is, the usual suspects, middle aged Karen's who are miserable and can't stand the thought of everyone not being as miserable as they are. I loved that place. The girls were hot AF, and very "friendly". I had established a "relationship" with one girl, and had even gotten a "date" outside of the spa, which was great because there was no House Fee, and she got ALL of the donation + a couple of shopping trips out of the deal.

Trafficking is a different story. If someone is being "forced" to participate in the life, then yeah bring a hammer down hard. But why, in 2025 we not only still have such draconian, unconstitutional laws, and LE Orgs are putting so much time & resources into it, is just another indication of how fucked up our Government is.
