I've never heard of a pill that prevents sit. BBFS is an outright risk, no doubt about that.

You might be thinking of Doxy-Pep, which is a prescription for doxycycline. It's only reducing chance of infection from bacterial STIs, not viral, so it doesn't protect against HIV, HSV, or HPV.

I tend to think it's more of an emergency thing than a regular medication. Not something I would want to take unless I actually had to (I was on it for a month after an exposure to Lyme).

Prep would offer protection from HIV, but there's a list of side effects and contraindications. Of course, it's better than an infection.
