Posts: 108The media would see no benefit from them being closed. Quite the opposite, actually. And I was wrong about suspecting fear mongering after hearing of the court records that verified the information.

I've tested negative recently. This was before the HIV reveal. I just test about once a month, because you'd be silly not to in this hobby.
Be careful out there.

Posts: 1652Charges say otherwise. And they do not need to make up those charges to keep them closed. Trafficing is plenty. Like I said, Toledo turns the blind eye, the state does not. Time will tell but I am confident if they were charged they had a positive test. Go get tested if you have visited recently. You owe it to yourself and others you may come into contact with. Not saying you directly, this is just a blanket statement.

Posts: 104What would anyone be willing to bet that the media intentionally made a false report to keep it closed once and for all?? Just a thought.

They can get results of rapid test results back in a round a hour. Planned Parent hood has a rapid blood test that results are given back to you in around 45 minutes. STD check site gives you results back within 24 hrs of collection. As for them reporting this the same day. I'm sure that I'm not interpreting the police document report correctly but reads like they may of had a prior test that was positive? It reads like soliciting after a positive test, not soliciting while positive.

Posts: 343You are correct about the same sick feeling and that reporting any positive tests would be beneficial. In fact, reporting is what makes this site valuable. I completely understand the policy of not allowing unsubstantiated HIV accusations, however, I doubt a news station would risk a libel lawsuit by not having verified their claim. The trick is to strike the right balance.

Took an oral at home test and it was negative but since the oral test is only able to detect at 3-6 months from exposure I went to the local urgent care to get blood drawn and urine sample for others. Everything came back negative, which gives a huge peace of mind. Not that anything was ever not covered but there's always that doubt lingering. I hope from some of the recent posts the three letter word was mis used somehow. If there's any positive tests floating around out there (hopefully not) it would be beneficial to post and give details on timeline / personnel. Maybe I'm out of line but I'm guessing everyone got the same sick feeling when they saw / read the report.

I bought a home HIV test yesterday, took it, and fortunately it came back negative, however, it said that depending upon time of exposure another test should be taken within 3 months. My locality offers free STD testing through the county, however, the county is required to report positive tests to the rest of government and the cops can get your status from them. In Florida and in Ohio, failure to notify a sexual partner that you're HIV positive when you had the knowledge that you were is a crime. Had my test came back positive, I wouldn't have went to the county. Now I know the results of the county's exam beforehand and all for $45.00. While I wouldn't have sex without informing were I positive, I'm not in the habit of providing the cops the evidence they need to convict me of a crime.

Posts: 1652Correct. When caught soliciting you get tested. If positive you are then "on notice". If caught again, your charge goes from misdemeanor to felony. Now, I am not sure if you are the "buyer" but I know that is how it works for the "sellers".
