To my knowledge, you only loose hair due to cancer when you are actually being treated for cancer. The chemo and meds cause your hair to fall out. If she is being treated it would also explain the weight loss. I don't know her and have never met her so I can't say for sure. However, FYI, there are several STDs that can cause your hair to fall out as well. I'm not calling her a liar. I just want to point out that hair loss is an outward sign of two otherwise hidden infections.

I was in the area this morning and did the Wilkins Loop. I was going up Ramsey from the circle and saw a young black girl wearing a short gray dress, looked civi, walking down Ramsey. As I passed her we made eye contact and she smiled. I smiled back, went up the street and circled back. I went back up Ramsey and she was standing with the boys at Ramsey and Bruce, where the boys are always hanging. Well Tink finally ran out of road, as they say. The word I got from some Wilkens girls is that she overdosed behind the Busy Bee store. The people she was with just left her there. Tink was on the Wilkens walk for a while. Then she left for over a year. She told me she was living with family. They would have her go to church & bible study. She did not like this.
