Wild guess here, but I've tried removing the "s" and after hitting enter, the "s" was still there. Looks like the browser history or cache keeps the "s", so I deleted both history and cache, then entered without the "s", and it worked.

Two important caveats, I'm not a tech guy and I can't say with certainty what finally fixed the issue for me.
