I have heard the same from what I consider a credible and knowledgable source.

A lot of what she said boiled down to the fact that it would be impossible, without a huge amount of effort, to know if an MP was honestly doing $4000 a week in business or $40000 a week.

I've looked into this further than I'd like to admit from a business modeling perspective and came away thinking that I'm not sure. There's a fair bit of personal wealth opportunity for an owner just in the core business if she's doing it right. Running a nice shop that keeps girls busy and happy. But although it's a cash business laundering isn't about moving money through but giving it a pedigree. The only way I see that works is if the girls declare their tips. Which I can't imagine they do. Otherwise a common 2-girl shop is 50 K month in foundation income, which doesn't represent much of an opportunity. Sure, a bunch of locations increases that flow. But also dramatically increases the complexity and so risk.

These places have leases, pay taxes, have employees, etc. - if something was well out of wack it wouldn't be long at all before somebody started making phone calls.

So. I dunno, but I don't think so. There are a bunch of them around because it's a good gig for a smart operator. The ones that suck have bad managers, like most small businesses.

I would say the main thing to project is being NICE. This opens many doors. I believe these ladies deal with a lot of assholes, so someone that is just kind and polite makes a real difference.

Finally, the only exception I make to the $200 up front thing is if I get a vibe right out of the gate that the place is 100% legit. In those cases, I'll still tip heavily - $100 right away. But then leave another hundy on my clothes in clear sight. I get everything from ignoring it to a quiet ask if it's for her. To which the response is "It can be. ".

If I'm going to a new place, it's obvious if it will be a good spa a granny spa, LMT, upsell, etc.

It isn't a hard code to crack. If they are wearing skimpy clothes and immediately reciprocate a hug, ass grab, dfk, etc you know exactly what kind of spa it is. But if I am checking out a place with few or no reviews, I often wait until after the flip to see what extras may be available and negotiate then. Even though the end amount is always the same.

I'm curious what everyone else's stratagy may be. Are you an all at once upfront? Or prefer to negotiate after the flip based on teasing??

Best and Shanghai are just enough out of my way of daily commutes, it burns up a lot of free time getting there. I wish I had a consistent quality place like those further north.

Not sure I agree with the money-laundering hypothesis. Why open a secondary illicit business to launder money from a primary illegal source? AMP owners who've been charged with crimes are often pursued under anti-racketeering laws and sometimes human trafficking laws. Those who've faced money-laundering charges were often owners who used casinos to launder their money.

Is just what I have read over the years. Take it with a grain of salt and just realize that pretty much every illegal industry is tied into money-laundering at some level.

With regard to Xanadu, it historically has lousy reviews here and the most recent review on RM was over a year ago. I recall it's sandwiched between a hair salon and a teriyaki joint, with a Tae Kwondo school on the other end. Does someone own all of these businesses and they spread their money out between them? Just seems like it should have shut down by now.

One more opinion. A lot of mongers still only rely on the various ads out there. One thing that Xanadu has going for it are very promising ads. I have never been there, but even after reading about it here more than once I have been tempted by their ads on Bedpages.

So let me preface that I set an appointment for a double with lulu and amy. Was told appointment was good to go but when I got there lulu was busy and there was no amy. I was greeted at the door by grace.

Irritated but I already took my pill I didn't want to wait around so went with grace.
