I just answered my own question, found online Yes, it is legal for law enforcement to post ads on illegal escort sites as part of undercover sting operations to catch individuals engaging in illegal activities like prostitution. This is a common tactic where officers create fake profiles to identify and arrest people who respond to the ads for soliciting or engaging in prostitution.

How it works: Police officers create fake online profiles to pose as sex workers, and then lure people who are looking for sex into meeting them.
Legal justification: The goal is to catch individuals committing a crime, such as soliciting prostitution. These sting operations are often subject to legal scrutiny, particularly regarding the defense of entrapment.
Entrapment concerns: A key legal challenge in these cases is whether the police went too far and entrapped an individual who would not have otherwise committed a crime. A defense is stronger if the person can show the police actively persuaded them to commit a crime, rather than the person already intending to do so and the police merely providing the opportunity.

My angle was not entrapment, but that is it legal / not legal for law enforcement to able to post on sites that are a conduit for illegal activities.

Look up "entrapment. " From the 'net; "A law enforcement officer or government agent must have encouraged or persuaded the defendant to commit the crime.
This goes beyond simply providing an opportunity to commit a crime. ".

Posts: 436Are they violating the law
Since this activity is illegal, wouldn't any law enforcement person / agency posting ads illegal also, if so then it is entrapment in black and white so to speak, and I don't know law speak, so I'm just wondering if anyone can clarify.

Posts: 330Interesting, thanks for posting. Wonder what site he was using, and looks like Mass State Police are going online, posing as providers.

If USASexGuide (USASG) stops working, try re-setting your browser to defaults.
A few days ago USASG stopped working, instead of a gateway issue, system said it was USASG problem, that their server wasn't working. A website check agreed, that the issue was the website's issue. I think I used the site "is it down right now. " Browers Brave, Firefox, and Chrome all gave the same answer. But USASG was working w the Falcon browser! I tried the usual techniques w Brave, no dice. I reset Brave to the default, and bingo, working again.

Does anyone know how to get one these days? I'm plenty old enough I just want something with a different name and address. Won't be used for anything governmental so doesn't have to be perfect or a real I'd or anything.
