Us oldsters will often say that the incompetence of most men in the age-peer group of our target SBs is the reason we are successful. These girls have just had bad experiences w / guys who are broke, who are mama's boys, who want to be coddled, etc. The POTs want someone alpha (and that doesn't mean dominant. They're not looking to get knocked around), they want someone to admire and respect, and they likely want someone who is highly experienced and skilled in the sack. You've got better odds of getting attacked by a shark in Nebraska than finding several hot 20 somethings that will play along with the Shades of Gray scenario you describe (quite well I might add).
