This is really annoying, keeps telling me wait for 15 minutes and still can't log in.

Once logged in, I get lock out again after a short while or while I was typing a reply to someone else that I can't even send.

Yes, this is the best advice I can give on the topic of the "15 minute login bug":

..some friends had trouble logging into USAG and it is probably due to spam / ddos protection filtering by IP. When this filter is on, it helps to stay logged in with the checkbox. Or if the login fails, to retry an hour or so later. Since it is an IP filter, it can sometimes be triggered due to VPN.

Don't use the reset link, it won't help. How do I know? I last dealt with this exact same bug 15 years ago. Retry later, stay logged in if you are willing.

How long did it take for approval?
