    Attempted Sign On

Dudes, somebody attempted to sign into my profile a few days ago. I got the ole wait 15 minutes before trying to sign on message a few days ago. Never have seen that message since I have been posting here. Maybe it happens all the time and I never noticed. Any of you get that message often? Strange on a site like this. Just sign up and participate. I am not too nervous but I don't like it either.

I faced the same issue. One trick worked for me is, after providing correct login password, even if you get the message about incorrect password or login attempt exhausted, use the browser back button and voila you are logged in. Looks like some glitch but it works as long as you enter correct password.

Yup. For the most part, Tor and even a vpn is pretty pointless for our purposes here. I've had this discussion in the past, there are only a few things that will get you flagged by the feds, and talking about or seeking out legal aged hookers isn't one of them. Most people using Tor are doing it for things that will put them on that radar if they aren't extra careful. Running it on your main PC with a windows OS is bonkers. People should be creating a bootable Tails flash drive and only running it through there.
That is the best way. Not to dismiss the technical literacy of the users on this site, but I'd bet that is beyond the capabilities of most mongers looking for hookers.

    Hiding Tor

It helps to keep bad actors from easily tracking you online, but without a VPN you're still wide open for the ISP and government to keep tabs on what you do. "Well, TOR isn't necessarily a VPN by itself. Yes, it does encrypt your traffic, but not on both ends. Your ISP can see that you are using TOR and can be suspicious of you using TOR at all. In the entry node, the node can see your IP address, but doesn't know what actual traffic you're using. Other the other end, the exit node doesn't know your IP address, but it does know what traffic you're sending..

    Imperva blocks TOR

Yeah, just tried it, and it looks like the Imperva implementation blocks TOR browser. Doesn't even get you to the "I'm human" checkbox, just blocks right off the bat.

    Nord

I'm using the Nord VPN and it works fine with that. I've not fired up the Linux machine with TOR to check getting in that way.
