Dang, maybe you're right it was too elaborate a plan. I approached it that way because she said she never left the shop on her own. First time in America and scared of everything and all that. She revealed that the one time she did get out was fully chaperoned by MMS. Ordered Uber Eats to the shop everyday and did not get to see anything in NYC basically.

I thought laying everything out in an itinerary would ease that anxiety. We will see if it actually happens on the return trip or it was just letting me down softly.
