I was just curious about the state of this. Obviously there are solicitation arrests being made. Is it primarily through escort decoy ads or has there been an increase in sting operations etc. ?

I've seen individual felony solicitation arrests in Wake, and Meck. I've not searched smaller counties and some of the other larger counties are getting away from putting mugshots online, because quite often charges get dropped, errors are made and there's been lawsuits and harassment of people that ended up not being charged. So, I can't tell you much about the circumstances of the arrest. Maybe the motel / notell dropped a dime, maybe there was an altercation that brought the police there etc. Hopefully we learn more about this as time goes on. Regarding stings, those almost never appear on the mugshot portals. Intentionally. LEO runs these stings for a few days at a time usually, and they don't want to burn the operation by having the first arrests be on the internet. They usually make contact with the individual, holding them for questioning, then let them go for a bit of time before charges are filed. In NC they like to pick you up at work for some reason, so presumably they've gleaned all the necessary info on how to find you from that interrogation. The key issue is that these delayed arrests usually end up in your mugshot not being published. They usually release a Press Release with your photo once everyone's been charged. The same thing just happened with the Durham cop who was just arrested for solicitation. They did an investigation that lasted weeks, and this allowed him to skip the mugshot reporting services. They did him a huge favor by not releasing his photo with the arrest press release. But hey, who knows what will happen with the first documented stings now that this is a felony.

It pulled the information relating to the old law (misdemeanor), not the new law, which was passed from HB971, and took effect on 12/1/24, making ALL solicitation a Felony in NC. Other than that one point which AI got 100% wrong, it got the rest mostly right, except it tried to stand on word salad semantics with some of the other points (like no shit you have to communicate with the provider / decoy). I would not recommend trying to use ChatGPT to defend yourself, LOL.

I am an attorney, and you are missing my point. Solicitation in NC doesn't work like most jurisdictions in the US. All that's required is that they confirm you've seen an ad, you communicate with them and agree to go to their location. Then, when you arrive at 'the place of prostitution' you have committed Solicitation, which is now a felony in NC. If you've made or accepted an offer, you don't even need to go to their location. They can and do come to your home to collect you. No one is suggesting that they're using this forum for evidence collection. Read the words that are being typed before responding with an emotional response. What LEO is doing on SkipTheGames is posting fake decoy ads for us to respond to. Being savvy mongers, we come here to check the the veracity of those ads by looking for reviews from profiles we trust. It's already been suggested that Invictus uses 'fake reviews' to get mongers to trust that a decoy ad is genuine. The OP was merely asking for techniques to employ which can improve their odds of not being rolled up in one of these stings. It's a good suggestion right now to only completely trust an ad when a senior is vouching for it. I'm not sure what's wrong with any of that??

Cops do NOT use this forum for evidence because it's impossible to verify. If cops COULD use this forum for evidence why in the fuck would they wait for you guys? They would stop by the public library, use a public computer and post whatever the fuck they needed. In 25 fucking years there has been one and only one sting run on this forum. 7 or 8 years ago the FBI ran a sting for pedos. Of the 1.8 million registered users they only caught one. Which is something I'm very proud of and I think they were disappointed because they never came back.

There has never, not once, been a case of some cops commenting a fake ad on the forum to get you guys to go there but by all means keep suggesting it so that it starts.

New members with low post counts all promoting and vouching for a new ad / new # for a provider that they claim is an old, safe provider that's come back to the business. IMO, you contact a provider with that setup at great risk. Now, if one of our trusted seniors posts 'I responded to the ad, she's real etc', then that's a different story. But if you're only trusting 3 random new accounts with like 12-18 posts hyping a brand new ads, all posting the same message within a few days of each other.

They will exhibit unusual posting habits such as quoting something you said and posting it in another forum with pictures of the girl you're talking about. In my opinion, that is gathering evidence. A lot easier for LEO to just be directed to one forum where JR posted this about X girl and I have pictures posted to go with the quote. Police don't have time to go through every single post, so this makes it much easier for them. They likely have paid informants to search the forums rather than them sitting down at a desk doing it themselves.

I would also add these members posting very positive reviews about ads that don't seem legit, or either ads that a lot of the regular senior mongers know are old ads from girls who have either moved on or deceased. My rule of thumb is, don't trust anybody. Treat the forum as if everything you post is going to be seen by LE, because, well, it probably will be.

I took my adult daughter to Twin Peaks for lunch in the middle of the day (because she had heard that a particular menu item was good). I figured middle of the day on a weekday was going to be pretty sterile. And our server was wearing straight up see through lingerie. She was gorgeous, and probably 22 ish.
