Posts: 570Not sure. Hopefully we'll understand more about the tactics being used before forum mongers getting swept up.

Posts: 161Interesting report, I tried checking to see if there was any ads posted around those dates in new bern and only 1 ad came up close to that date but not that exact date, on both skip and personal. I wonder if owner of ad was the setup, or if this dude saw someone street walking that was undercover or they saw him from a distance, that area is always hot.

Hey guys,
I meant to post this a couple days ago, but the weekend got away from me, and another forum post reminded me to let you guys know. I've been seeing more and more felony solicitation arrests in Wake. They don't look like stings, but instead look like solo arrests. I don't see providers being charged anymore. Note that providers can be charged with actual prostitution if they admit to completing an act or they get caught in the act (In other words they are really dumb or really unlucky). They have been charging mongers with solicitation, and the most recent I've seen is 4/30 at Raleigh Inn on Maitland. D O-are are the initials. I have no details, so I don't know if this resulted from a disturbance or if someone called LEO (like motel staff). If anyone has any details that could lead to keeping others safer, that would be most appreciated.

Just kicking around the idea. If not allowed admins please delete. But for sites with the reviews behind a paywall would anyone be interested in a community account?
I would set it up with the same email and password for a few of the favorites like rubmaps and eroticmonkey. Just would ask for small donations from the community from time to time to keep them up.
If there is enough interest I could potentially have everything setup by the end of the week.

Posts: 570Yes, I think it's very likely that the hotel staff dimed on them. My best guess is cops went to the room and they answered the door. Note that in NC, you do not have to let them in without a warrant or imminent danger / render assistance requirement, and of course you don't have to answer questions. (This is where it's helpful if the room is in your name, not the provider's. You have control of who enters) I would imagine they were either in the act or just finished when the door knock happened. Cops probably separated the provider from monger and told the provider "You don't have to worry about solicitation anymore" but one of them self snitched about the act that just happened, or they could have found a used condom etc. My best guess would be the monger self snitched in this situation as they would be less apt to charge the provider with prostitution if he / she was cooperative. Note that Solicitation and Prostitution are separate charges in NC. People forget this. The legal bar for Solicitation is very low here.

The hotel staff risk isn't really that they're going to stop you in the lobby (although that would be uncomfortable). It's that they're going to let you get in the room, and then call the cops. By the time they arrive, you're comfortable. If this happens to you, talk through the door. Do not open it. If they try to do the 'welfare check' bs to demand the door gets opened, you'll have to assess how grave the threat of them busting in is. If they do force their way in, at least your attorney will have some ammo for an illegal search defense. Of course, they're going to turn your life upside down in the process. Stay safe out there.

I keep seeing these same things over and over in the forums and though we need to come up with a list for everyone as a reference.
"No AA" - means her pimp / handler (s)/ bf is AA and they plan on robbing people. The belief is that another AA will be armed and will go to war over a robbery.
"Money for uber outcall" - scam. Don't do it. If you're really wanting to see that provider, order the uber yourself. That way if she no-shows you are only out $5.
"No GFE" - she really means it and most likely is charging way more than she's worth. Giving her more money means she might moan a few more times but that's it. Don't ask, don't get mad when she says no, and don't waste your time / money if you are looking for GFE.
"I'll be ready in X minutes" when you are at the motel waiting on the room number. She's either got another monger with her, taking medication, setting you up, or about to flake. Don't wait more than 5 minutes and keep your head on a swivel. DO NOT give out your car info. If you don't get the number soon then bail.
"It's just a cut / It's a burn scar / I was picking at a bump" - learn the difference between a STI scab / sore, impetigo, and a burn scab. Google the pictures. If she has one just leave. If she's wearing a lot of makeup take a closer look to see if she's covered up any scars / sores.

Posts: 217How do you think this one worked? This wouldn't have been a sting right? Because the provider was arrested as well. Looks like arrest location was a hotel, so do you think maybe hotel staff called police based on their new training and mandatory reporting standards?

Posts: 185Doesn't that hurt the incentive for providers to cooperate though? Unless it's a sting and the provider is a decoy the provider has probably engaged in the sex act I would think.
