But to be honest, 50 percent of us in America already have hsv1 in our body (dormant for most people) and get it in elementary school.

I would suggest if you're worried about herpes to not kiss, not do oral, not do BBBJ. Yes condom cuts risk of hsv2 but they're kind of indistinguishable.

I think it's just risk reward here. Do you want to cip young early 20's Japanese girls or not? What is your risk tolerance? It's a calculated risk like all things in life.

When you observe how society generally operates nowadays and in scenarios where civilians are hooking up with other civilian dates or cheating on their spouses, does each party go get tested to confirm their status prior to any physical contact or do these situations develop in the heat of the moment?

I would bet it's going to be typically the latter.
