According to the Globe there were 2800 "contacts" in the booker's phone. I'm guessing all of those have been saved into some database for later reference. The police have said that the 28 who were charged were those with the highest number of interactions with the booker. Unclear if this meant that they were actually the top customers, but roughly speaking they probably were among those who ended up using the service most frequently. I can't remember the figure but I think it was something like each of them had over 400 "interactions" over the course of the investigation period, which was several months long (not just a week). The 400 number was apparently just arbitrary, it seems they had a design to charge a large number of clients and so set the bar where they would generate a list of about 30 candidates to bring to trial. Some just happened to be high profile, others were "random johns".

They seem to have corroborated the identities of the clients through public and other records (they were using phones / numbers that could be easily traced to them), through video surveillance (for example, they apparently have time stamped images of Toner coming and going into the building). When they initially announced the bust, they showed images of paperwork / ledgers and applications for members that were obtained when they raided the booker's home. So it may be that they will also have applications and other documents that they will present in trial. We'll learn more about what they have when the trials begin.

This is a very pretty young lady imo. She is Blasian, as in half black (Caribbean or Cape Verdian) -half Thai. Daughter of immigrants but American born. Very pretty face with a certain glam about her. The division between her black and her asian is that she's basically lighter skinned black, but her pretty face is more Asian. There are some posts here that say they might have used language or acronyms in their texts with the booker that were incriminating. Is that the whole thing?

Johns are using this as an argument against screening with personal info. But now this sounds like their names didn't come from the screening information? If not from there how were these johns even identified?

Or were they:

1) Caught in person?

2) Men who booked in the previous days before any messages were deleted so there were records?

3) Men who booked over texts rather than signal or telegram?

4) High profile occupations so it makes the bust sensational and they let the random johns go?

5) Men who spent enough money at the agency to say "This man spent over $10,000 on escorts".

I don't want to make the same mistakes as these guys.

I believe #4 probably occurred because of #5?

One of the articles posted said something about them go after the ones who used the service the most. I seem to remember them mentioning they only went after the ones with 400+ texts.

It stands to reason that anyone who can afford to use the service that much is in the upper echelons of wealth and they tend to be higher profile.

So far only one of them was stopped by LE when leaving the location. He was smart enough to tell them to fuck off, he doesn't have anything to say without a lawyer, and they had to let him go. The rest were accused based on text messages alone.

Last hearing, one attorney asked the detectives whether they have pics or info from the vetting (considering one press release mentioned how the agency was asking all this private stuff). The answer was that no, they didn't recover that, at least for the individual being accused.
