I think ot has more to do with what your internet provider allows you to see and not whether USASG is https or not, amd what country the site is operating from. USASG doesn't operated from the US but somewhere in eastern Europe I believe, or south America, it definitely not here. A lot of these type of sites are now being blocked, pornhub for instance, until you verify your age and / or create an account. As usually they want to track you. A2 can shed more light on this.

Those are actually three separate issues.

Internet browsers and security programs are more and more not playing nice with "not secure" non HTTPS sites. Varies by device / browser / security installed. That has nothing to do with the ISP or state laws.

When on VPN it appears to me that clicking on some links located within a non HTTPS site to a site that is HTTPS creates a problem. Likely a browser or traffic conflict due to security. When not on VPN I don't see these issues. Again not the ISP but appears the security protocol somewhere is not liking it. If it was the ISP the same problem would exist not using the VPN.

The sites that cannot be accessed without age verification is because of state laws (example Florida a Texas porn laws). To get around it, you use a VPN that is located outside of the state or maybe in another country. That makes it look like you are elsewhere and it bypasses the state law requirements. If you don't you need to verify your age in some intrusive manner. I've had no problem with this. The only issue seems to be some links here when on VPN.

Maybe it has something to do with this site not being secure (Not HTTPS) and STG is. I have the same problem on a VPN This site not using HTTPS is a PITA and I cannot access on some devices without many steps. Seems most browsers are eventually going to make it almost impossible to access sites not using HTTPS.
