Oh, I agree, that could also explain it. I am certainly not niave enough to believe it outright. However, to me, there were a couple of red flags with the profile. First, it was a few months old and was logged into about the same amount of time from when it was created. So basically, it was created and then not logged into. Mostly inactive.

The next were the pictures, which included a lot of her friends. I know a lot of girls have pics with friends, but this seemed over-the-top to me. Also, none of the friends' faces were blurred. Again, not a guarantee.

Finally, when I said I contacted her I didn't tell her I knew of her. I just contacted her outside of SA. I didn't want her to know my profile there.

There are girls who post with their friends pics in there. Especially 18-24 range, some are not as discreet when posting pics. But now we are curious.

Do you have any of those pics? Because sometimes her friends are on seeking too.

Thought I would refresh a thread on prepaid visas or other ways to pay for subscriptions. Seems pathward doesn't work now that giftcardmall is a part of giftcarddotcom? Anyone successfully signing up recently with prepaid cards?

There is prepaid VISA card you can buy at Kroger that works. I think you load it with $20 to $500, and then you register name and address.

If you have crypto, you can also buy a VISA digital prepaid card on Bitrefill.com and then you just have to register a name. But it worked on Seeking recently and can just make up the address.

So both of those have worked in the last few days.

Personally I think it was more likely a jealous woman / girl friend. Women are far more likely to pull something of this magnitude.

So what did you do when you contacted her? To me this sounds like stalking. Tell us the whole situation if it is something helpful for us.

I also considered that. But reaching out once is no way stalking. I knew her name, so tracking her down was simple. I contacted her out of curiosity as it didn't seem right. By ultimate result, whether she was truthful or not, I was right.

Was I honest in who I was? Hell no, LOL. That's part of this whole game.

I find that more likely than a vengeful ex bf going through all the trouble to setup an account on the site, especially since she pulled it right after someone she knows asked about it (whereas a vengeful ex likely wouldn't, but instead deny knowing about it while leaving it up). Not saying vengeful ex boyfriends won't do shit, but there's a lot other options that are less effort and / or higher impact than "make a fake dating profile on a p2 p site".
